An evaporated fuel processing device may include a canister retaining evaporated fuel in a fuel tank, a vent passage communicating the canister and an intake passage of an engine, a first pump that discharges mixed gas of air and the evaporated fuel to the intake passage via the vent passage, a detector that detects a first pressure value indicating a pressure of the mixed gas discharged by the first pump, a memory storing pressure value-concentration correlated data indicating mixed gas, an acquisition unit that acquires a third pressure value indicating an air pressure detected by the detector in a case where the air containing substantially no evaporated fuel is discharged by the first pump, and an estimation unit that estimates a concentration of the evaporated fuel contained in the mixed gas discharged by the first pump by using the first and third pressure values and the pressure value-concentration correlated data.

Evaporated fuel processing device

In an EGR valve, a valve element is seatable on a valve seat by stroke movement of a valve stem caused by an actuator. The valve seat has a cylindrical part with which a step of the stem is engageable. By the stroke movement of the valve stem, the opening degree between the valve seat and the valve element is changed. The valve seat is moved in the passage in the stroke movement direction to be engageable with a shoulder of the passage. As the valve element is moved together with the stem, the opening degree in the low opening range is changed. As the step of the stem is engaged with the cylindrical part and the valve seat is moved with respect to the shoulder, the opening degree in the high opening range is changed.

Exhaust gas recirculation valve

A lip seal is placed between a housing and a valve shaft and adjacent to a bearing of the shaft. A deposit-guard plug is placed between the housing and the shaft and adjacent to the lip seal. A first end of the lip seal is placed adjacent to a first end of the bearing. A first end of the plug is placed adjacent to a second end and a lip portion of the lip seal. A second end of the plug is placed to face a passage. A first distance from the first end of the bearing to the leading end of the lip portion of the lip seal and a second distance from the second end of the plug to the leading end of the lip portion of the lip seal are set to be longer than a maximum stroke of the shaft in stroke movement.

EGR valve

The position of a passage separating member in the axial direction of the cylinder bores is determined by causing a spacer to contact a bottom surface of a water jacket. When the separating member is inserted in the water jacket, the width of the separating member is reduced due to elastic deformation, so that the separating member can be arranged in the water jacket. After being arranged, the separating member tightly contacts the inner surface of the water jacket due to elastic restoration force. The tight contact prevents the separating member from moving upward in the water jacket. As a result, coolant is prevented from moving between the upper portion and the lower portion with respect to the separating member. The advantages of separate cooling of the coolant in the upper and lower portions with respect to the separating member are obtained. This reliably reduces the temperature difference along the axial direction of the cylinder bore forming body.

A cooling structure of an internal combustion engine includes: a cooling water introducing port provided on one end side of a cylinder block; and a water jacket provided so as to surround a cylinder bore wall, wherein cooling water is introduced from the cooling water introducing port into the water jacket, the cooling water is branched to flow to a portion on an intake side and a portion on an exhaust side of the water jacket of the cylinder block of the internal combustion engine, and the cooling water is supplied from a cylinder block side to a cylinder head side, the cooling structure of the internal combustion engine, further comprising a first regulation portion that regulates a flow of the cooling water supplied to the cylinder head side.

Cooling structure of internal combustion engine

A partition member used in a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The partition member is arranged in a groove-like cooling passage through which a cooling heat medium flows. The partition member includes a separating wall and a flexible lip member. The separating wall divides the cooling passage into an inner passage and an outer passage. The inner passage is located close to the cylinder bores, and the outer passage is located outside of the inner passage. The lip member extends from the separating wall toward the opening of the cooling passage in such a manner that, when the partition member is arranged in the cooling passage, the lip member contacts one of the inner surfaces of the cylinder block forming the cooling passage. When the partition member is arranged in the cooling passage, the distal edge portion of the flexible lip member contacts the inner surface due to force produced through flexible shape restoration of the lip member.

Cooling passage partition for an internal combustion engine

A switching valve comprises a housing, a gas inflow chamber, a first passage adjacent to the inflow chamber through a first partition wall and communicating with the EGR cooler, a first communication hole providing communication between the inflow chamber and the first passage, a gas outflow passage, a second passage communicating with the outflow passage and adjacent to the inflow chamber through the second partition wall and communicating with the EGR cooler, a second communication hole formed in the second partition wall and providing communication between the inflow chamber and the second passage, and a third partition wall dividing the first passage from the second passage. The first to third partition walls are continuous at a joined portion in a Y-shaped cross section. A valve element is placed to be swingable about a point near the joined portion between the first and second partition walls. The first and second partition walls are slanted with respect to a mold-removing direction to form the inflow chamber and the third partition wall is parallel to a mold-removing direction to form the first and second passages.

Switching valve for EGR cooler

In a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine, a water jacket in which coolant is circulated is formed around cylinder bores. In the cylinder block, an introduction passage, through which the coolant is introduced from the outside of the water jacket to the inside of the water jacket, is formed. A spacer, which extends along at least a portion of the periphery of the cylinder bores is provided in the water jacket. The spacer is disposed such that the inner wall surface of the spacer contacts the outer wall surfaces of the cylinder bores in an opening-side area of the cylinder block, where an opening of the introduction passage is formed, and the inner wall surface of the spacer does not contact the outer wall surfaces of the cylinder bores in an opposite opening-side area opposite to the opening-side area with respect to the cylinder bores.

Cylinder block and internal combustion engine

A production method of a water jacket spacer for use in a cylinder block with a water jacket formed around plural cylinder bores. The method comprises the fist step of integrally forming a tubular spacer body with a peripheral wall and a connecting bridge by way of synthetic resin molding so that corresponding regions of the peripheral wall are connected to each other via the connecting bridge, and the second step of cooling the tubular spacer body, with the connecting bridge fixed thereto, to prevent deformation of the tubular spacer body during the cooling process, and the third step of removing the connecting bridge from the tubular spacer body.

A cooling structure for uniformly cooling a bore wall of a cylinder block using a cooling medium, the bore wall surrounding plural bore regions, includes a water jacket portion which is provided so as to surround an entire outer periphery of the bore wall, and which is supplied with the cooling medium; and a water jacket spacer which is inserted in the water jacket portion such that a space is provided between the bore wall and the water jacket spacer. The cylinder block includes an inter-bore region which is positioned in a vicinity of a boundary between the bore regions adjacent to each other, and a region other than the inter-bore region; and a cross sectional area of the space between the bore wall and the water jacket spacer in the inter-bore region is smaller than a cross sectional area of the space between the bore wall and the water jacket spacer in the region other than the inter-bore region.
