A straddle-type electric vehicle, comprising a pair of left and right main frames, a seat rail extending rearward from a rear portion of each of the main frames, a pivot frame extending downward from a rear portion of each of the main frames, a swing arm supported by the pivot frame, a battery arranged in a space between the main frames, a power unit arranged in the space, a wind guiding duct for guiding traveling wind to the space, and an air outlet port for emitting the traveling wind, the air outlet port being provided so as to be capable of emitting the traveling wind inside the wind guiding duct from a lower portion of a vehicle body to an area below the vehicle body.

Straddle-type electric vehicle

A straddle type electric vehicle comprises a main frame, a motor unit including an electric motor, a battery that supplies power to the motor unit, and a control unit that executes drive control of the motor unit. The main frame includes a left and right pair of portions, and at least a portion of the motor unit is disposed at a position overlapping the main frame in a side view of the vehicle.

A rotor placed inside or outside of a stator in the radius direction includes a fixed rotor fixed in a position along a rotation axis of the rotor, and a movable rotor allowed to approach/separate from the fixed rotor and to move in a direction along the rotation axis.

Electric motor

A variable valve gear for an internal combustion engine that is capable of being disposed in a small compact manner and also capable of reducing the generation of a knocking sound. In a variable valve gear, a camshaft is supported by supporting walls of a cylinder head, and camshaft holders formed separately from the supporting walls, two exhaust rocker arms are disposed adjacent to each other, and a connecting pin is movably inserted into pin holes provided in the exhaust rocker arms by an actuator through a pushrod to connect or disconnect the exhaust rocker arms to or from each other. In the variable valve gear, the pushrod is slidably supported in a rod insertion hole of the camshaft holder with the connecting pin being disposed between the pair of camshaft holders and has an axis that is offset toward the camshaft with respect to an axis of the pushrod.

Variable valve gear for internal combustion engine

To reduce a load of a tensioner lifter, enhancing the oscillation absorption function of the tensioner lifter in a chain tensioner. In a chain tensioner provided with a tensioner arm rockably supported by fixed structure and relatively slidably engaged with the outside on the loose side of a transmission chain without an end coupling a driving sprocket and a driven sprocket and a tensioner lifter supported by the fixed structure for pressing the tensioner arm on the side of the transmission chain, a control arm is rockably supported by the fixed structure for transmitting the pressure of the tensioner lifter to the tensioner arm. The control arm is inserted between the tensioner arm and the tensioner lifter.

Chain tensioner

To provide an oil passage structure for an engine in which a tensioner arm is in sliding-contact with a cam chain for speed-reducing a rotational power of a crankshaft by half and transmitting the resultant power to camshafts for driving an intake valve and an exhaust valve, and a screw-type lifter having a lifter rod with its one end being in contact with the tensioner arm is provided in a cylinder head, wherein the oil passage structure is intended to certainly feed oil to the screw type lifter while preventing the reduction in pressure of oil fed to the cylinder head without increasing the discharge pressure of an oil pump. An oil passage to which oil is fed from an oil pump is formed so as to extend around a cylinder head, and the downstream end of the oil passage is in communication with a screw type lifter.

Oil passage structure for engine

To provide a lubricating device for an engine in which a generator is housed in a generator chamber formed between a crankcase and a generator cover connected to the crankcase. A block side return oil passage is in communication with a head side return oil passage provided in a cylinder head and is provided in a cylinder block in such a manner as to be in communication with the generator chamber in order to return oil from the cylinder head to the oil pan through the generator chamber. The device is intended to prevent a raise in oil temperature and an increase in friction loss by adjusting the amount of oil flowing into the generator chamber to an optimum value. A branch oil passage is in communication with an intermediate portion of a block side return oil passage and is provided in a cylinder block. The branch oil passage is formed so as to allow part of the oil flowing in the block side return oil passage to bypass the generator chamber and to flow to the oil pan.

A starting motor is mounted to an approximately central portion of an engine body along the axis of a crankshaft. An over-running clutch is mounted to a first end portion of the crankshaft at a position where a starting clutch is sandwiched between the over-running clutch and the starting motor. A starting gear reducer having gears respectively fixed to both ends of a rotational shaft overlapping the starting clutchis provided between the starting motor and the over-running clutch. A rotor of a generator is connected to the other end of the crankshaft. The aforementioned arrangement provides a starting device for a vehicular engine in which a rotor of a generator is connected to the crankshaft, an over-running clutch for inputting a rotational power from the starting motor to the crankshaft is mounted to the crankshaft, and the starting clutch is mounted to the first end of a main shaft forming part of a transmission, wherein the device is intended to suppress the amount the engine body projects outward on the generator side of the engine.
