The present invention provides a non-aqueous electrolytic solution for a lithium secondary battery or a lithium ion capacitor, wherein the non-aqueous electrolytic solution includes a lithium salt as dissolved in a non-aqueous solvent in a concentration of 0.8 to 1.5 M (mol/L), the non-aqueous solvent includes, in relation to the whole of the non-aqueous solvent, 5 to 25% by volume of ethylene carbonate, 5 to 25% by volume of propylene carbonate, 20 to 30% by volume of dimethyl carbonate, 20 to 40% by volume of methyl ethyl carbonate, and 10 to 20% by volume of a fluorinated chain ester; the total content of ethylene carbonate and propylene carbonate in the non-aqueous solvent is 20 to 30% by volume, the total content of dimethyl carbonate and the fluorinated chain ester in the non-aqueous solvent is 30 to 40% by volume; and the flash point of the non-aqueous electrolytic solution is 20&#xb0; C. or higher, and the present invention also provides an energy storage device.

Non-aqueous electrolytic solution for lithium secondary battery or lithium ion capacitor, and lithium secondary battery or lithium ion capacitor using the same

The present teaching provides a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery provided with a non-aqueous electrolyte solution having a composition able to achieve high battery performance even in an extremely low temperature region (for example, &#x2212;30&#xb0; C. or lower). The non-aqueous electrolyte solution disclosed herein contains, as non-aqueous solvents, ethylene carbonate (EC), propylene carbonate (PC), dimethyl carbonate (DMC), ethyl methyl carbonate (EMC) and ethyl propionate (EP), and when the total volume of the non-aqueous solvents is 100 vol. %, the content of EC is 20 to 30 vol. %, the content of PC is 5 to 10 vol. %, the content of EP is 5 to 10 vol. %, and the content of DMC+EMC is 50 to 70 vol. %.

Non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery

A porous polyimide film having a three-layer structure that comprises two surface layers (a) and (b) and a macrovoid layer sandwiched between the surfaces layers (a) and (b). The macrovoid layer has a partition wall bonding to the surface layers (a) and (b), and multiple macrovoids each surrounded by the partition wall and the surface layers (a) and (b) and having a mean pore size in the film plane direction of from 10 to 500 &#x3bc;m. The partition wall of the macrovoid layer has a thickness of from 0.1 to 50 &#x3bc;m and has multiple pores having a mean pore size of from 0.01 to 50 &#x3bc;m. The surface layers (a) and (b) each have a thickness of from 0.1 to 50 &#x3bc;m, at least one of the surface layers has multiple pores having a mean pore size of from more than 5 &#x3bc;m to 200 &#x3bc;m, and the other surface layer has multiple pores having a mean pore size of from 0.01 to 200 &#x3bc;m. The pores in the partition wall of the macrovoid layer as well as in the surface layers (a) and (b) communicate with each other and further communicate with the macrovoids. The film has a total thickness of from 5 to 500 &#x3bc;m and a porosity of from 60 to 95%.
