A thermoplastic elastomer composition including an acrylic block copolymer (I) and a hydrogenated block copolymer (II). The content of the acrylic block copolymer (I) is 70 to 300 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the hydrogenated block copolymer (II); the hydrogenated block copolymer (II) is a hydrogenated product of a block copolymer (P) including a polymer block (A1) containing structural units derived from an aromatic vinyl compound, and a polymer block (B1) containing 1 to 100 mass % of structural units (b1) derived from farnesene and 99 to 0 mass % of structural units (b2) derived from a conjugated diene other than farnesene, the mass ratio [(A1)/(B1)] of the polymer block (A1) to the polymer block (B1) being 1/99 to 70/30; and the hydrogenation ratio of carbon-carbon double bonds in the polymer block (B1) is 50 to 100 mol %.

Thermoplastic elastomer composition, laminate structure and method for producing said laminate structure

A laminate production method is provided which can sufficiently prevent the occurrence of blocking without causing deterioration in the outstanding characteristics of acrylic block copolymers such as adhesive performance, and can also ensure excellent processability during extrusion. The laminate production method includes a step (1) of bringing raw pellets of an acrylic block copolymer (A) into contact with an aqueous dispersion (C) containing acrylic resin particles (B) and no surfactants, the acrylic block copolymer (A) including at least one polymer block (a1) including acrylic acid alkyl ester units and at least one polymer block (a2) including methacrylic acid alkyl ester units, a step (2) of removing water attached to the pellets and thereby obtaining pellets (D), and a step (3) of preparing an adhesive composition using an adhesive feedstock including the pellets (D) from the step (2), and extruding the adhesive composition to form an adhesive layer and thereby producing a laminate including the adhesive layer and a substrate layer.

Laminate production method

Pellets of an acrylic block copolymer (I) having a polymer block (A1) containing methacrylic acid ester units and a polymer block (B1) containing acrylic acid ester units, and an acrylic polymer (II) having 35 mass % or more methyl methacrylate units are provided. The polymer block (B1) is made of methyl acrylate units and acrylic acid ester units of formula CH═CH—COOR(1), wherein Rrepresents a C4-C12 alkyl group. A shaped article prepared with the pellets is also provided.

Pellets including block copolymer and shaped articles obtained from such pellets

Pellets of an acrylic block copolymer are provided which are imparted with sufficient antiblocking properties without deterioration in the outstanding performance of the acrylic block copolymer such as transparency. A method for producing pellets (D) including an acrylic block copolymer (A) includes bringing raw pellets of an acrylic block copolymer (A) into contact with an aqueous dispersion (C) containing acrylic resin particles (B) and no surfactants, the acrylic block copolymer (A) including at least one polymer block (a1) including acrylic acid alkyl ester units and at least one polymer block (a2) including methacrylic acid alkyl ester units, and removing water attached to the pellets.

Method for producing acrylic block copolymer pellets

A resin composition is provided which has high transparency, light guiding properties and luminescent properties and can guide light therethrough with little change in chromaticity. A shaped article such as an optical element including the resin composition is also provided. The resin composition includes an acrylic block copolymer (A) and a light diffusing agent (B), wherein the acrylic block copolymer (A) has at least one structure in which polymer blocks (a) based on methacrylic acid ester units are bonded to both ends of a polymer block (a) based on acrylic acid ester units, and has a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 150,000 and a tensile elastic modulus of 1 to 1,500 MPa, the light diffusing agent (B) is rutile titanium oxide having an average particle size of 0.5 to 2.0 &#x3bc;m, and the content of the light diffusing agent (B) is 0.5 to 10 ppm (on mass basis) based on the acrylic block copolymer (A).

Resin composition including acrylic block copolymer and light diffusing agent

(1) A methacrylic ester or an acrylic ester is anionically polymerized, using a polymerization initiator compound comprising an addition reaction product of a conjugated diene compound and an organic alkali metal compound, in the presence of a tertiary organoaluminum compound having in the molecule thereof a chemical structure represented by a formula: Al&mdash;O&mdash;Ar wherein Ar represents an aromatic ring; or (2) a methacrylic ester or an acrylic ester is anionically polymerized, using a polymerization initiator compound comprising an addition reaction product of an organic alkali metal compound and a compound having a 1,1-diaryl-1-alkene structure, by adding the ester in the form of a mixture with the above-mentioned specific tertiary organoaluminum compound to the polymerization system. In this way, various species of the esters can be anionically polymerized with a high initiation efficiency and a high living polymerization property in a solvent which can easily be recovered and reused under a mild cooling condition, using an organic alkali metal compound which has relatively good convenience.

Process for polymerizing a methacrylic ester or an acrylic ester

A block copolymer comprising, in a main chain thereof, a crystalline polymer block A obtained by hydrogenation of at least 80% of unsaturated bonds of a butadiene-based polymer block having a 1,2-bond content less than 20%, a polymer block B having a glass transition point of 20&deg; C. or lower and a polymer block C composed mainly of a methacrylate ester unit and/or an acrylate ester unit and having a glass transition point exceeding 20&deg; C. has good elastomeric properties, excellent weather resistance, solvent resistance and heat resistance and has good affinity with each of a polar polymer and non-polar polymer. A polymer composition comprising said block copolymer effectively exhibits the above-described characteristics of the block copolymer.

An X-ray CT scanner comprises a plurality of X-ray generators which are arranged radially on a circle concentric with an object for measurement and each consists of a cathode electrode, an anode electrode constituting a target and a grid between the cathode and anode electrodes. For X-ray tomography, X-rays are projected onto the objects from the circle concentric therewith by sequentially temporarily removing a bias voltage applied to the grids of the respective X-ray generators for suppressing an electron beam directed from the cathode electrode to the anode electrode of each X-ray generator.
