To provide a dental alginate impression material composition without the defects of the conventional alginate impression material compositions using a pH indicator, that the confirmation of the completion of the gelation is inaccurate and difficult, and that they are poor in the affinity with water to be used during the mixing, the dental alginate impression material composition containing an alginate, a gelling reaction material, a gelling adjustment material, and a filler as major components further contains 0.001 to 0.1% by weight of one or more pH indicators selected from Cresol Red, &agr;-naphtholphthalein, Tropaeolin OOO, Thymol Blue, and phenolphthalein; 0.1 to 10% by weight of a water-soluble polyether that is a liquid at 25 &deg; C.; and 0.001 to 5% by weight of an inorganic pigment and/or an organic pigment having a color distinctly different from a color tone caused by color formation of the pH indicator during the gelation upon mixing with water.

Dental alginate impression material composition

A denture temporary relining material composition is disclosed, including (A) 100 parts by weight of an organopolysiloxane containing at least two alkenyl groups in one molecule and having a viscosity of from 0.5 to 20 Pa.s at 25&deg; C.; (B) from 0.1 to 40 parts by weight of an organohydrogen polysiloxane containing at least three hydrogen atoms directly bonded to a silicon atom in one molecule; (C) from 10 to 500 ppm, based on the total amount of the components (A) and (B), of a silicone-soluble platinum compound; (D) from 10 to 200 parts by weight of an inorganic filler; (E) from 0.5 to 100 parts by weight of an organopolysiloxane raw rubber containing at least two alkenyl groups in one molecule and having a viscosity of from 1,000 to 20,000 Pa.s at 25&deg; C.; and (F) from 1 to 200 parts by weight of a methylphenyl polysiloxane which is very low in terms of the hardness of a set product, keeps a softness in the oral cavity for a long period of time, does not generate changes in the surface properties, and is not deteriorated even upon immersing in a denture cleanser solution.

Denture temporary relining material composition

A marginal treatment material of a denture base, comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of an organopolysiloxane having at least two aliphatic unsaturated hydrocarbons in one molecule and having a viscosity of 500&tilde;5,000 cs at 25&deg; C.; (B) 0.5&tilde;30 parts by weight of an organohydrogen polysiloxane having at least three hydrogen atoms directly bonded to a silicon atom in one molecule; (C) 10&tilde;500 ppm, based on the total of the components (A) and (B), of a silicone-soluble platinum compound; and (D) 0.5&tilde;20 parts by weight of fine silica powder having a BET specific surface area of 50&tilde;500 m,/g, whose surface is made hydrophobic. A marginal treatment method of a denture base is also disclosed, comprising applying the marginal treatment material of the denture base to a marginal portion of a denture base lined by a soft lining material, followed by curing, and by applying the marginal treatment material to a border line between the denture base in the denture marginal portion and the soft lining material, followed by curing, can be easily form without polishing a smooth transitional surface.
