It is an object of the present invention to provide a safe hair dye, which has a good dyeing property and is easy-to-use, and which has less uneven dyeing and has high stability of the formulation. The present invention provides a hair dye which comprises a combination of (1) a first gel agent containing tannic acid, benzyl alcohol and xanthane gum, and (2) a second agent containing an iron salt.

Provided is a hair dye, which comprises a combination of (1) a first agent containing a substance reacting with iron to develop color, and (2) a second agent containing (a) an iron salt and (b) at least one component selected from among xylitol, sorbitol, pentylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, triethylene glycol, erythritol and diglycerin.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a safe hair dye, which requires a short hair dyeing time, has good hair dyeing property and color tone, and also has an effect of preventing photofading. The present invention provides a hair dye, which comprises a combination of (a) a first agent containing a substance reacting with iron to develop color and an ultraviolet absorbent having a 2-hydroxybenzophenone skeleton, and (b) a second agent containing iron salt.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a composition for hair which comprises highly safe nanoparticles having high transparency due to the small particle size and high permeability into hair and scalp. The present invention provides a composition for hair which comprises protein nanoparticles containing an active ingredient for hair.

A hair dye composition containing an azo dye (1) or a salt thereof: wherein R represents a coupler moiety, Rand Reach independently represent &#x2014;SOM, &#x2014;SONRRor a hydrogen atom, R, Rand Reach independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent, and M represents a hydrogen atom, metal atom or ammonium, with a proviso that Rand Rare not hydrogen atoms at the same time.
