A solid oxide fuel cell system includes a primary fuel supply passage for supplying fuel, plural fuel cell stacks each uses a solid oxide fuel cell and that are provided in line on the primary fuel supply passage and includes at least a first fuel cell stack and a second fuel cell stack, a first reformer that is provided on an upstream side from the first fuel cell stack on the primary fuel supply passage and reforms the fuel by utilizing endothermic reforming reactions, a second reformer that is provided between the first fuel cell stack and the second fuel cell stack on the primary fuel supply passage and reforms the fuel by utilizing endothermic reforming reactions and exothermic methanation reactions, and a secondary fuel supply passage connected between the first fuel cell stack and the second reformer.

Solid oxide fuel cell system

An internal combustion engine system basically has an internal combustion engine, a reforming fuel injection device and a reformer. The internal combustion engine has an exhaust circulation path that is connected to an exhaust path and an intake path communicating with a combustion chamber. The reforming fuel injection device injects a reforming fuel into an exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust circulation path. The reformer has a reforming catalyst for generating a hydrogen-containing gas using the reforming fuel. The internal combustion engine system has a reforming catalyst regeneration device for causing an oxygen-containing gas to flow through the exhaust circulation path and thereby regenerate the reforming catalyst at a predetermined timing for regenerating the reforming catalyst.

Internal combustion engine system

A hydrogen separation apparatus, provided with an independent hydrogen permeable membrane, capable of suppressing or preventing deformation of the hydrogen permeable membrane. The hydrogen separation apparatus includes a porous support member, an independent hydrogen permeable membrane disposed adjacent to the porous support member, and a joining member for joining the porous support member and the hydrogen permeable membrane. A production process for the hydrogen separation apparatus includes (1) disposing a joining member forming material at a surface side of a porous support member, to be opposite to an independent hydrogen permeable membrane, (2) disposing the independent hydrogen permeable membrane adjacent to the porous support member at the surface side of the porous support member to which surface side the joining member forming material is disposed, and (3) joining the porous support member and the independent hydrogen permeable membrane with the joining member forming material.

Hydrogen separation apparatus and process for manufacturing the same

A catalyst () for selectively oxidizing carbon monoxide, wherein a noble metal () and an active oxygen supply material () capable of oxidizing carbon monoxide are supported on a substrate (). Favorable selective oxidation of carbon monoxide can be obtained by setting the distance between the noble metal () and the active oxygen supply material () such that the noble metal () is close enough to accept active oxygen from the active oxygen supply material (), and preferably within 0.1 mm. This catalyst () for selectively oxidizing carbon monoxide is effective at removing carbon monoxide from a reformate gas whose main component is hydrogen and which is supplied to a fuel cell.
