A transfer-source terminal, a communication-destination terminal, and a nearby terminal existing in the neighborhood of transfer-source terminal are provided. The nearby terminal collects connectivity information for monitoring connectivity after terminal switching by performing a communication process with the communication-destination terminal, and transmits the connectivity information collected to the transfer-source terminal. The transfer-source terminal receives connectivity information from the nearby terminal by a connectivity information receiving unit, determines a transfer-destination terminal from among the nearby terminals according to connectivity information by a transfer-destination terminal determinating unit, and transfers a communication session with a communication-destination terminal to the transfer-destination terminal determined, by a session transferring unit.

Communication terminal, terminal switching system, and terminal switching method

An object of the invention is to present service selection to the user immediately when it is made possible to realize a new service with a communication terminal of an associated party. A communication terminalenables the user to use a communication service using a peripheral equipment within a communication range with an associated terminal connected through a network and includes a total control sectionhaving a capability information change notification unit for notifying the associated terminal of occurrence of change in the peripheral equipment within the communication range and a service candidate determination unit for determining an available communication service with the associated terminal when change in the peripheral equipment occurs.

Communication terminal and communication switching method

A session mobility for moving a session held between a switching source device and a communication counterpart to a switching destination device other than the switching source device. The switching source device transmits media data relating to a session by multicast or broadcast prior to device switching. The switching destination candidate device receives the transmitted media data, and thereby switching destination determined device, in replace of the switching source device, outputs media data. Thus, a switching time from a switching source device to a switching destination device can be made fast such that a user cannot perceive it.
