A valve may include a valve body forming a central passage extending from a first side of the valve body to a second side of the valve body. A valve pin may be located within the central passage, where the valve pin includes a sealing head that selectively contacts a valve seat of the valve body to control flow of a fluid through the central passage. A spring may have a first end that is fixed relative to the valve pin. A spring seat may be fixed relative to a second end of the spring, where the spring is fixed relative to a calibration plunger, and where the calibration plunger is secured to a threadless calibration wall of the valve body via an interference fit.

Adjustable valve core

The present disclosure relates to pressure relief and pressure regulating valves. More particularly, the disclosure relates to a miniature in-line fuel pressure regulator having a regulator body that includes a housing member and an adjusting member, a pin axially disposed within the regulator body, the pin including an upper end having a circumferential groove, a lower end having a fluid inlet, one or more fluid discharge ports, and a fluid passageway connecting the fluid inlet to the one or more fluid discharge ports, an elastomeric O-ring conformingly positioned within the circumferential groove on the upper end of the pin so that the elastomeric O-ring contacts the raised annular valve seat when the fluid pressure regulator is closed, and a biasing member coupled to the pin and configured to maintain the elastomeric O-ring in contact with the raised annular valve seat to control an opening pressure of the fluid pressure regulator.

In-line fluid pressure regulator

An air conditioner service fitting is provided and includes a valve body comprising a threaded bore and an annular valve seat extending around the bore. The valve body is configured and the valve seat is positioned such that all fluid that passes through the bore crosses the valve seat. A twist-to-open valve is disposed in the bore and threadedly engages with the valve body. The twist-to-open valve includes a valve element configured to form a polymer-to-metal seal with the valve seat. The polymer-to-metal seal stops substantially all fluid flow through the bore and the flow path when the twist-to-open valve is closed. The valve body further includes an external connection feature disposed around the bore. The valve body comprises an external sealing surface.

Air conditioner access and service fittings

An air conditioning charging valve includes a valve body that receives a valve element in an interference fit. The valve element is slideable by a charging tool from an opened positioned, in which a refrigerant fluid may be charged into an air conditioning system via the charge valve, and a closed position, in which the valve element forms a leak free, metal-to-metal seal against a valve seat carried by the valve body.

Air conditioner charge valve

An air conditioner access fitting includes a valve body having a threaded bore and an annular valve seat extending around the bore. A twist-to-open valve is disposed in the bore and threadedly engaged with the valve body. The valve includes a valve element configured to form a metal-to-metal seal with the valve seat. A valve core is disposed in a second bore formed in the twist-to-open valve, and the valve core operates selectively to open and close a flow path extending through the second bore. The valve body further includes a quick connect shoulder disposed around the bore. An associated service fitting includes a quick release mechanism, a wrench for rotating the twist-to-open valve, and a valve core depressor for opening the valve core.

A combined charge/relief valve for an air conditioner system includes an outer housing that defines a first passageway and an inner housing that defines a second passageway. The inner housing includes an O-ring seal and is biased by an outer spring to a sealed position to seal the first passageway. The inner housing can be moved to a charging position by the direct application of mechanical force in order to facilitate high rate charging of the air conditioner system. The inner housing includes a valve member movable between an opened and a closed position to seal the inner passageway. The valve member is biased to the closed position by a precision relief spring. Excessive refrigerant pressure in the air conditioner system moves the valve member from the closed to the open position in order to vent refrigerant to the environment.

Air conditioner system charge/relief valve

A check valve includes first and second valve body parts. The first valve body part defines a protruding neck and the second valve body part defines a receiving flange sized to received the protruding neck in a telescoping manner. A snap fit retaining mechanism includes a set of hooks on the second valve body part and a hook receiving groove on the first valve body part. The hooks are shaped to engage the groove to hold the first and second valve body parts together as an assembly, with the neck received in the flange. A central passageway extends through the first and second valve body parts, and a valve seat is defined around the central passageway. A valve pin is mounted in the central passageway to releasably seal against the valve seat.

Check valve with quick lock attachment feature

A check valve of the type having a valve body and a valve pin mounted to slide in the valve body includes on its exterior surface a raised annular ridge. This ridge defines at least one pair of wrench flats and has first and second annular shoulders, each on a respective side of the ridge. The first shoulder is shaped to retain a quick disconnect coupler in position on the valve body. The overall length of the valve body can be reduced because the same annular ridge defines both the wrench flats and the shoulder that retains the quick disconnect coupler.
