Variety of approaches to provide an automatic group creation based on an organization hierarchy are described. A hosted service initiates operation(s) to automatically create a group upon detecting a new organization hierarchy or a utilization of a feature of a hosted service by an existing organization hierarchy. Next, group members are determined based on the organization hierarchy. The group is created that includes the group members to coordinate services within the hosted service based on the organization hierarchy. Furthermore, an attribute of the created group is defined. A resource is also generated for the created group. The resource includes a notebook, a work space, a collaboration site, and/or a planner. The created group is deployed to coordinate the services. The resource is managed through the services.

Automatic group creation based on organization hierarchy

Variety of approaches to provide an automatic group creation based or an organization hierarchy as described. A hosted service initiates operation(s) to automatically create a group upon detecting a new organization hierarchy or a utilization of a feature of a hosted service by an existing organization hierarchy. Next, group members are determined based on the organization hierarchy. The group is created that includes the group members to coordinate services within the hosted service based on the organization hierarchy. Furthermore, an attribute of the created group is defined. A resource is also generated for the created group. The resource includes a notebook, a work space, a collaboration site, and/or a planner. The created group is deployed to coordinate the services. A data structure that represents a person is created. The data structure comprises a person object. The person object comprises one or more contact objects. When it is determined that the person is a global address list contact, first contact information for the person is obtained from a global address list store and stored in a first contact object. When it is determined that the person is an email contact, second contact information is obtained from a contact store and stored in a first memory cache. When it is determined that the second contact information includes a global address identifier, the global address identifier is stored in the second contact object. A person identifier is created for the person that identifies the person. The person identifier is stored in the first contact object and in the second contact object.

Build a person object from multiple contacts

Embodiments are described for blocking the opening of a file. Some embodiments include receiving a request to open a file. In response, a portion of the file's data is examined to determine a true file format for the file. A determination is then made as to whether the true file format of the file has been set as blocked. Based on the determination that the file format is blocked from opening, the file is prevented from being loaded into memory and from being accessed. A message is then displayed to a user indicating that the file has been blocked from opening.

File blocking mitigation

Embodiments are described for removing malicious code from a file in a first file format by converting the file into a converted file of a second file format. In embodiments, converting the file eliminates malicious code embedded within the file from being stored in the converted file. The conversion is performed within a restricted computer process that has restricted privileges limiting its access to an operating system and an underlying computer system. As a result, even if malicious code embedded within the file executes while the file is being converted into the converted file, the damage to a computer system is mitigated because of the limited privileges provided to the restricted process.
