A task to be achieved by the present invention is to provide a method for producing a printed matter. The ink has excellent adhesion to an ink unabsorbent or non-absorbent recording medium, such as a resin film or coated paper, which is unlikely to absorb a solvent contained in an ink, and excellent setting property. The present invention is directed to a method for producing a printed matter, using an ink including a binder (A) having a carbonyl group, a compound (B) having a structure capable of reacting with the carbonyl group, and an aqueous medium in which the binder (A) and the compound (B) are dissolved or dispersed.

Ink, ink for ink-jet recording, printed matter, and method for producing printed matter

The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide an ink that can be used f producing a print having no streaks even in a case where the distance between the surface of a recording medium such as a cardboard and an ink jet head is long. The present invention relates to an ink for use in an ink jet recording method in which the distance from a surface (x) having an ink discharge port of an ink jet head to a position (y) where a line perpendicular to the surface (x) intersects with a recording medium is 2 mm or more, the ink having a viscosity in the range of 2 mPa&#xb7;s or more and less than 9 mPa&#xb7;s and a surface tension in the range of 20 mN/m to 40 mN/m.

Ink and ink set

A water-based ink for inkjet recording contains a pigment, water, organic solvents, at least one compound selected from urea compounds, and a binder resin. The organic solvents include at least (1) a water-soluble organic solvent having a boiling point of from 100&#xb0; C. to 200&#xb0; C. inclusive and a vapor pressure at 20&#xb0; C. of 0.5 hPa or more, (2) propylene glycol, and (3) glycerin, diglycerin, and/or a derivative thereof serving as an organic solvent. Preferably, the water-based ink further contains a polymer (A) serving as a pigment dispersant. The polymer (A) has an anionic group and has a solubility in water of 0.1 g/100 mL or more, a number average molecular weight within the range of 1,000 to 6,000, and an acid value within the range of 40 to 190 mg KOH/g.

Water-based ink for inkjet recording

A separated colored liquid composition used in a device involving an optical modulation technique in which a liquid is moved or subjected to a change in shape by an external electric field to change color or brightness, the separated colored liquid composition containing a colored liquid, a non-colored liquid immiscible with the colored liquid, and at least one additive selected from a fluorine-based surfactant and a silicone-based surfactant. Use of such a composition as a composition for forming an image in a device involving an optical modulation technique in which a liquid is moved or subjected to a change in shape by an external electric field to change color or brightness.

Separated liquid coloration composition and colored liquid using same

An active-energy-ray-curable ink jet recording ink composition is provided, in which (1) a polymerizable compound having an active-energy-ray-polymerizable group and a polymerizable compound having at least two active-energy-ray-polymerizable groups are used in amounts of 10 to 25 mass % and 75 to 90 mass % relative to the total amount of the active-energy-ray-polymerizable compounds, respectively; (2) the polymerizable compound having an active-energy-ray-polymerizable group includes 10 to 20 mass % of N-vinylcaprolactam; and (3) the polymerizable compound having at least two active-energy-ray-polymerizable groups includes 15 to 35 mass % of 2-(2-vinyloxyethoxy)ethyl(meth)acrylate. Furthermore, a method for forming an image is provided.

Active-energy-ray-curable ink jet recording ink composition and method for forming image

An active-energy-ray-curable inkjet recording ink composition is provided, in which a polymerizable compound having an active-energy-ray-polymerizable group and a polymerizable compound having at least two active-energy-ray-polymerizable groups are used in amounts of 60 to 95 mass % and 5 to 40 mass % relative to the total amount of the active-energy-ray-polymerizable compound, respectively; the polymerizable compound having an active-energy-ray-polymerizable group includes N-vinyl-2-caprolactam and isobornyl acrylate in amounts of 1 to 15 mass % and 1 to 25 mass % relative to the total amount of the active-energy-ray-polymerizable compound, respectively; and the polymerizable compound having at least two active-energy-ray-polymerizable groups includes a polymerizable compound having a vinyl ether group. Furthermore, a method for forming an image is provided.
