A decorative layer for an interior trim part for covering and/or receiving an airbag in a motor vehicle is able to be arranged in a detachable and/or position-adjustable manner on a carrier element of the interior trim part. The decorative layer has a predetermined breaking point region for arrangement on at least one predetermined breaking point line of the carrier element, through which predetermined breaking point region the airbag can be unfolded in a triggered state. The predetermined breaking point region has at least one means for weakening, in particular of a material, of the decorative layer. An interior trim part for covering an airbag in a motor vehicle includes a carrier element and the decorative layer.

A 3D knitted fabric for an interior component of a motor vehicle has a front visible side and a rear side, the front visible side and the rear side being arranged on opposite sides of the 3D knitted fabric, and a multiplicity of fastening devices, the multiplicity of fastening devices being arranged on the rear side. The multiplicity of fastening devices are designed for the releasable fastening of the 3D knitted fabric to a carrier device of the interior component. Such an interior component having the at least one 3D knitted fabric and at least one carrier device is provided for a motor vehicle.

A method produces a fiber composite preform for a fiber composite component. The fiber composite preform has a plurality of layers of a fiber roving. The method includes: providing a support core for arranging the fiber roving s on a braiding device, the support core having a support core longitudinal axis, producing a first braided fabric layer from fiber rovings on the support core in a first braiding direction parallel to the support core longitudinal axis of the support core by the braiding device, and producing a second braided fabric layer from fiber rovings on the first braided fabric layer by the braiding device. The second braided fabric layer is produced in a second braiding direction parallel to the support core longitudinal axis, the second braiding direction being opposite the first braiding direction.
