A cable shielding and an electrical conductor having such a cable shielding are provided. The cable shielding has a first wire winding and a second wire winding. The first wire winding has a plurality of turns. The first wire winding is wound in a first direction with a first pitch about a longitudinal axis. The second wire winding has a plurality of turns. The second wire winding is wound in a second direction, which is different from the first direction, with a second pitch about the longitudinal axis. Turns of the plurality of turns of the first wire winding and corresponding turns of the plurality of turns of the second wire winding cross one another in each case at a first crossing point in such a way that a plurality of first crossing points of the first wire winding and the second wire winding are present in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The plurality of first crossing points run at least approximately helically in the direction of the longitudinal axis.

Cable shielding

A rotational braiding machine () has a plurality of first braiding material carriers (), a plurality of second braiding material carriers (), a movement unit, a drive and a controller. The movement unit is arranged and designed in order to move relocating elements () associated with the first braiding material carriers () in each case between a first position and a second position. The drive is designed to drive the plurality of first braiding material carriers () such that they rotate about the common braiding center in a first rotation direction and to drive the plurality of second braiding material carriers () such that they rotate about the common braiding center in a second rotation direction which is different from the first rotation direction. The controller is additionally designed to control the movement unit such that the movement of at least one of the relocating elements () can be adjusted.

Rotational braiding machine

The present disclosure relates to a cable having a light-emitting element. An exemplary embodiment of the cable has, in addition to the light-emitting element, a cable core comprising at least one cable construction element. The cable also has a reflective layer, which at least partially surrounds the cable core along a tangential direction with respect to a cable axis of the cable and which is designed to reflect light that is emitted by the light-emitting element. The cable also has a sheath, which is designed to conduct the light emitted by the light-emitting element around the cable core substantially in the tangential direction and to couple said light out substantially in the radial direction with respect to the cable axis. The reflectivity of the reflective layer varies in the tangential direction.

Cable having a light-emitting element

The invention relates to a data cable. One embodiment of the data cable has at least one pair of wires and a cable sheath surrounding the at least one pair of wires. The at least one pair of wires has two wires twisted together in the longitudinal direction of the data cable. Cavities between the at least one pair of wires and the cable sheath are at least partially filled with a filler. The filler has a viscosity which is such that it adheres in the data cable in such a way as to remain in the data cable at least nearly completely when there is a specified pressure difference between one end of the data cable and the other end of the data cable.
