A steering column module includes a tubular jacket rotatably supporting a steering shaft, a switch module having a carrier including contact pressure surfaces, and a device for fastening the switch module to the tubular jacket. The device includes a clamp assembly between the tubular jacket and the switch module for exerting a clamping force on the tubular jacket. The clamp includes two half clamps each having two outwardly bent end flanges. The end flanges are axially movably accommodated in the carrier such that when the switch module is axially moved onto the tubular jacket the end flanges come into contact with axial end stops of the tubular jacket and the contact pressure surfaces of the carrier. The contact pressure surfaces exert forces on the end flanges as the switch module is axially moved onto the tubular jacket thus fastening the switch module to the tubular jacket with a clamping action.

Device for securing a casing tube shifting module to the casing tube of a steering shaft of a motor vehicle

A connecting device includes first and second housing parts which are rotatable relative to one another and are coupled together to define a space therebetween. At least one flexible cable is provided in the space defined by the housing parts. Each cable includes first and second end sections which are configured to be rolled and unrolled in a spiral or helix on associated contact surfaces of the housing parts, respectively. The end sections normally extend in opposite directions from each other circumferentially around the housing parts so that a U-shaped turning area at which cable movement reverses is formed in the space defined by the housing parts. Magnetic areas are arranged on at least one of each cable, the first housing part, and the second housing part to cause the end sections of each cable to removably adhere to the respective contact surfaces of the housing parts.

Connecting device

The invention relates to a device for transmitting energy which essentially consists of a housing comprising a stator unit and a rotor unit, and of at least one flexible line accommodated inside an annular cavity of the housing. The aim of the invention is to create a device which, with a simple design, reduces, to a minimum, relative movements with contacting application between the housing and the at least one flexible line accommodated in the annular cavity. To this end, the housing consists of a stator bottom part comprising the outer wall and a first bottom wall area, and of a stator top part comprising a first cover wall area. The housing also consists of a rotor bottom part comprising the inner wall and a second bottom wall area, and of a rotor top part comprising a second cover wall area.
