A mobile warning apparatus according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes a velocity calculator, a position determiner, and an eliminator. The velocity calculator calculates one or more relative velocities of one or more observed points. The position determiner determines whether the observed points are in a predetermined proximity extent. The eliminator eliminates, in response to determination that the observed points are in the predetermined proximity extent, all the observed points from a warning target.

Mobile warning apparatus

In a warning apparatus, a restriction unit performs restriction of the issuance of a warning about a ghost from an issuing unit. A trajectory calculator calculates an estimated trajectory of each of first and second target objects. A cancelling unit cancels the restriction of the issuance of the warning about the ghost from the issuing unit upon determination that a predetermined cancelation condition is satisfied for the first and second target objects. The cancelation condition includes a condition that a passing distance between the first and second target objects is larger than a predetermined distance threshold.

Warning apparatus

The alarm device includes an acquisition part, an alarm judging part, a notification part, a static extraction part, a shielding boundary setting part, and a suppression part. The acquisition part acquires reflection point information and object information. The alarm judging part determines whether the object is an alarm candidate for each of the objects. The notification part issues a notification regarding the alarm candidates. The static extraction part extracts static reflection points. The shielding boundary setting part sets an approximate straight line as a shielding boundary by robust estimation. The suppression part suppresses notification of alarm candidates that are on the opposite side of the shielding boundary.

Alarm device for vehicle

An estimation device includes an information acquisition unit, a detection determination unit, a direction determination unit, and a direction estimation unit. When an object is a first-time detected object, the direction determination unit determines whether a relative direction acquired by the information acquisition unit is a direction toward an own vehicle. When the relative direction acquired by the information acquisition unit is a direction toward the own vehicle, the direction estimation unit estimates that a direction predetermined according to an object position acquired by the information acquisition unit is the movement direction of the object.

Estimation device

A radar device calculates positions and relative velocities of points of reflection from an FMCW beat signal, extracts stationary reflection points each being a point of reflection having a relative velocity of zero, and sets, for each of the stationary reflection points, an object area estimated to contain an object including the stationary reflection point. The radar device calculates positions and relative velocities of points of reflection from a 2CW beat signal from which a DC component has been removed, extracts in-area reflection points each being a point of reflection that belongs to the object area. The radar device then computes, for each of the in-area reflection points, a cross velocity that is a velocity of the in-area reflection point in a cross-range direction, and statistically processes calculated cross velocities for each of the object areas. The radar device calculates an estimated value of a cross velocity of an object.

Radar device and method of detecting object using radar device

A radar apparatus includes a targeting unit that irradiates a radar wave and recognizes a detection subject using a reflected wave thereof. The targeting unit extracts, as a target, a peak that is confirmed to have historical connection over measurement cycles equal to or more than a predetermined targeting threshold, from peaks extracted from a power spectrum generated by frequency analysis. A rainy-weather determining unit determines that weather is rainy when a number of erroneous detections is greater than a predetermined rainy-weather determination threshold. The number of erroneous detections is a number of peaks that have been detected in a previous measurement cycle or earlier by the targeting unit and are not confirmed to have historical connection to a peak detected in a current measurement cycle. A parameter updating unit updates the targeting threshold so as to be a larger value as the number of erroneous detections increases when the rainy-weather determining unit determines that the weather is rainy.

Radar apparatus and signal processing method of radar apparatus

An estimation apparatus includes a distance estimator. The distance estimator performs regression analysis using, as samples, an observation of distance and an observation at each time within a predetermined period obtained by an observer. The estimation apparatus estimates that a value of the distance upon a value of a displacement calculated in accordance with a regression equation based on the regression analysis being zero shows a value of the distance to the forward object at a start time.

Estimation apparatus

An example of recognition of the shape of a road where a vehicle travels is provided. An object type as to whether an object is a moving or stationary object is determined according to a relative speed of the object and a speed of the vehicle. Object-unit data effective for recognizing a road shape is extracted according to the determination. The object-unit data is used for forming data of a roadside object group, based on which a road edge is recognized. A series of the processes is repeatedly performed at a predetermined cycle. After the extraction process, a data addition process is performed to add object-unit data obtained in the extraction process of the previous cycle to object-unit data obtained in the extraction process of the present cycle. In a recognition process, a road edge is recognized according to the object-unit data obtained in the data addition process.

Method and apparatus for recognizing shape of road for vehicles

A sampled beat signal RD is split into a plurality of short-time data SD in the time direction, for each of antenna elements. Interference component frequency of an interference wave is detected from a frequency spectrum of the short-time data SD. A digital beam forming process is performed for the interference component frequency of the interference wave to extract a peak of the electrical power of an azimuth direction and estimate an absolute value of an incoming direction of interference components. Based on the absolute value of the incoming direction of the estimated interference components, a filter for suppressing the interference components is operated to suppress the interference components.

Electronically scanned radar system

A FMCW-type radar device generates snapshot data from a beat signal that represents a received condition of the radar device every modulation period. Auto-correlation matrices generated by the snapshot data every modulation period are averaged every set of plural periods. The radar device calculates the target azimuth of a target object such as a preceding vehicle based on the averaged auto-correlation matrix based on MUSIC (MUltiple SIgnal Classification) method. This averaging is performed by weighting average based on an amount of mixed noise (or an interference amount) contained in the snapshot data in each modulation period. A weighting coefficient to be applied to the auto-correlation matrix in each modulation period is set to a value corresponding to the amount of mixed noise, namely, the interference amount of this modulation period. The weighting coefficient becomes large when the interference amount is small, and on the other hand, becomes small when it is large.

Radar device

In a FM-CW or CW radar apparatus, when interference components are contained in channel signals obtained as beat signals from array antenna elements of respective channels, and the interference components result from directly receiving transmitted CW radar waves from an external source, phase shifting is applied to each of the channel signals to shift respective phases of the interference components of the respective channels to a condition corresponding to reception of interference waves from a predetermined direction. The interference components are then eliminated, and reverse phase shifting is applied to restore remaining components of the channel signals to their original phase condition.

A method for detecting an occurrence of interference between a return of a radar wave which has been transmitted by a radar and has an oscillating amplitude in time and a radio wave transmitted by some other radar, Includes steps of: detecting extremal points of an incident radio wave in which the radio wave transmitted by the other radar is superposed on the return of the radar wave, extracting, sequentially in time, an emerging pattern of the extremal points of the incident radio wave within each of periods of time to obtain a series of emerging patterns of the extremal points, detecting a period during which the emerging pattern of the extremal points is irregular among the series of the emerging patterns of the extremal points, and determining that the interference occurs during the detected period of time.

Method for detecting interference in radar system and radar using the same

A method for a radar for detecting a noise floor level of an electric signal corresponding to an incident radio wave received by the radar, the incident radio wave including a return of a radar wave that is transmitted from the radar toward a measuring range of the radar to detect target object characteristic including presence of a target object within the measuring range of the radar, a distance between the target object and the radar, and a relative speed of the target object to the radar is provided. The method includes steps of: calculating a histogram of intensities of frequency components, the frequency components exceeding a predetermined value relating to the measuring range, and extracting an intensity having the maximum height in the histogram as the noise floor level of the electric signal.

Method for determining noise floor level and radar using the same

A sampled beat signal is cut out into two or more short time data in a time direction concerning each antenna component. From a frequency spectrum of the short time data, an interference element frequency of an interference wave is detected. From the interference element frequency of the interference wave, two or more candidates of the frequency before aliasing of the interference wave are produced, and phase correction is executed on each candidate. Digital Beamforming is executed on the corrected frequency so as to extract maximum peaks of the power of an azimuth direction, and the frequency candidate showing the maximum peak power is selected and the arrival azimuth of the interference element is estimated. A filter for suppressing the interference element is applied on the short time data from the estimated arrival azimuth of the interference element so as to suppress the interference element.

Electronic scanning radar apparatus

A radar apparatus includes a receiving means that receives a reflected signal, a beat signal generation means that generates beat signals based on the reflected signal, a correlation matrix generation means that calculates correlation matrices based on the beat signals, a storing means that stores previous correlation matrices, an addition means that calculates addition correlation matrices by adding the correlation matrices to the previous correlation matrices, a detection means that detects a frequency component satisfying a predetermined condition by using the beat signals, an extraction means that extracts an extraction matrix corresponding to the detected frequency from the addition correlation matrices, and a direction calculation means that calculates a direction of the object with respect to the radar apparatus based on the extraction matrix.
