Aspects of the present disclosure can be implemented in a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). The method generally includes receiving dynamic signaling from a network entity of an indication to activate or update a set of phase tracking reference signals (PTRS) parameters, and processing PTRS for at least one of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) or a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), in accordance with the indication.

Aspects of the present disclosure allow a base station to simultaneously send SSBs to a UE and to associate different ROs or designated subsets of preambles with the simultaneously transmitted SSBs. The base station may configure a time or frequency offset for different ROs, or a number of preamble cyclic shifts associated with the SSBs. The base station then simultaneously sends a plurality of SSBs to the UE, where each of the SSBs is associated with a different beam, and where each of the SSBs is associated with a different RO or a designated subset of preambles. After the UE simultaneously obtains the SSBs from the base station, the UE may determine the offset for one of the different ROs, or the number of preamble cyclic shifts associated with one of the SSBs. The UE may then send a preamble to the base station in response to the determination.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) generates multiple systematic bits for a message, where the systematic bits are nonuniformly distributed over a time period such that a first bit value has a first probability of occurrence during the time period and a second bit value has a second probability that is greater than the first probability of the occurrence. The UE modulates the systematic bits according to an asymmetric modulation rule such that the first bit value corresponds to a first constellation point on a constellation graph and the second bit value corresponds to a second constellation point that is relatively closer to a center of the constellation graph than the first constellation point based on the second probability being greater than the first probability. The UE transmits the message including systematic bits modulated according to the asymmetric modulation rule.

Communicating nonuniform sources using systematic codes

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a user equipment (UE) transmitting a first signal using a first waveform type. After transmitting the first signal using the first waveform type, the UE may identify a trigger event for waveform type switching by the UE and select a waveform type from among a set of waveform types based on identifying the trigger event. The UE may then transmit a second signal using the selected waveform type.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a loss of coherence associated with the UE. The UE may perform at least one adjustment to a transmission parameter or a reception parameter based at least in part on the indication of the loss of coherence. For example, the adjustment to the transmission parameter may include adjusting a transmit power, adjusting a transmit frequency, adapting a transmission time, changing an antenna port, or a combination thereof. Additionally, or alternatively, the adjustment to the reception parameter may include refraining from joint channel estimation across a plurality of slots, adjusting a downscaling parameter or a frequency tuning associated with at least one reception antenna, refraining from blind decoding, or a combination thereof. Indicating a loss of coherence in a wireless network

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for reporting content processing times to a base station to allow the base station to efficiently schedule bi-directional communications one or more UEs. A content processing time may correspond to the time taken by a UE to process one or more downlink signals received in one or more downlink transmissions. In some examples, the UE may report a content processing time for each downlink transmission. In some examples, the UE may report one or more content processing times for multiple downlink transmissions. The base station may use the content processing times to configure an appropriate gap between downlink and uplink transmissions such that the UE may have sufficient time to process downlink signals before transmitting one or more uplink transmissions in response to the one or more downlink transmissions.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, in a downlink control information, a bit map identifying a plurality of feedback indicators for a plurality of uplink transmissions, wherein the plurality of feedback indicators includes more than one acknowledgment and/or negative acknowledgment; and retransmit one or more of the plurality of uplink transmissions based at least in part on receiving the bit map identifying the plurality of feedback indicators. Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a multi-slot sounding reference signal (SRS) resource. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a configuration of an SRS resource, wherein the SRS resource comprises a set of symbols for transmission of SRS across a plurality of slots, and transmitting the SRS using the set of symbols across the plurality of slots to a base station.

Some wireless communications systems modulate signals for transmission via a channel. Probabilistic shaping may utilize non-uniformly distributed modulation constellations to increase spectral efficiency. In some cases, wireless fading may occur in a multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) channel, which may cause a loss of the shaping gain from probabilistic shaping. Some examples of approaches to linear MIMO demodulation for probabilistic shaping using auxiliary dimensions are provided. A wireless device may receive information indicating a non-uniform probabilistic distribution of a modulation constellation for a MIMO signal. One or more symbols of the MIMO signal may be transmitted or received via a channel. The wireless device may demodulate the symbol based at least in part on a transformation of the modulation constellation to a subspace using dimensions associated with the non-uniform probabilistic distribution and a point of the transformed modulation constellation nearest to a projected symbol in the subspace.

A configuration to allow for the transmission of system information on different beams, where different transmission parameters may be utilized for different beams. The apparatus transmits system information on a first beam. The apparatus transmits the system information on a second beam. The system information is transmitted using different parameters for the first beam and the second beam or comprises different system information content for the first beam and the second beam.

Some aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a first wireless device. The method generally includes transmitting control information regarding at least one of scheduling or configuration of a channel state information (CSI) report to be transmitted by the first wireless device. In some aspects, the UE may receive control resource set and search space configuration information including enhanced-coverage PDCCH procedure information identifying an aggregated monitoring occasion of a grouping of PDCCH monitoring occasions having repetition of a same PDCCH, and interleaving enhancement information indicating different interleaving parameter configurations for at least two PDCCH monitoring occasions in the grouping of PDCCH monitoring occasions in the aggregated monitoring occasion. In some implementations, a method of wireless communication includes selecting, at a user equipment (UE), one or more control resource sets (CORESETs) from a plurality of CORESETs corresponding to the UE. At least one of the plurality of CORESETs corresponds to multiple active transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states. The method further includes performing a radio link monitoring (RLM) operation, a beam failure detection (BFD) operation, or both, based on one or more reference signals (RSs) corresponding to active TCI states associated with the one or more selected CORESETs.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for application of a repetition factor to uplink (UL) control channels. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, on a downlink (DL) control channel, an indication of a configuration for repetition of a UL control channel scheduled by the DL control channel and another UL control channel, wherein the configuration is applied for repetition of the other UL control channel after a configured time period starting from reception of the DL control channel; and transmitting the repetition of the UL control channel and the repetition of the other UL control channel in accordance with the configuration.
