A method for wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE) includes transmitting, to a network node, a first message indicating one or more distributions of a group of local data instances associated with a machine learning model at the first UE, each local data instance of the group of local data instances associated with a class of a group of classes. The method also includes receiving, associated with transmitting the first message, from the network node, a second message indicating an update to the group of local data instances, for satisfying one or more data distribution conditions. The method further includes training, associated with the update to the group of local data instances, the machine learning model.

Adjusting biased data distributions for federated learning

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for peak to average power ratio (PAPR) reduction for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). An example method, performed at a transmitter, includes generating a plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) symbols, based on a constellation associated with a modulation scheme, adjusting a phase of at least one of the OFDM symbols based on at least one parameter that depends on a non-integer multiple of a phase distance between two points on the constellation, generating a Discrete Fourier Transform spread OFDM (DFT-s-OFDM) waveform based on the OFDM symbols after the adjustment, and transmitting the DFT-s-OFDM waveform to a receiver.

Peak to average power ratio reduction for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing

A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may be configured to transmit uplink control information such as Hybrid Automatic Retransmission Request (HARQ) Acknowledgement or Negative Acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) using a sequence. The HARQ ACK/NACK may comprise one bit or two bits of information, and the WTRU may use a cyclic shift of the sequence to transmit the HARQ ACK/NACK. The WTRU may use different cyclic shifts of the sequence to transmit different HARQ ACK/NACK values and the cyclic shifts may be separated from each other in a manner to facilitate the transmissions. The WTRU may be further configured to receive, from a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), an indication of a resource block for transmitting the HARQ ACK/NACK.

Methods, systems, and apparatus for transmitting uplink control information

Aspects of the present disclosure can be implemented in a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). The method generally includes receiving dynamic signaling from a network entity of an indication to activate or update a set of phase tracking reference signals (PTRS) parameters, and processing PTRS for at least one of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) or a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), in accordance with the indication.

Aspects of the present disclosure allow a base station to simultaneously send SSBs to a UE and to associate different ROs or designated subsets of preambles with the simultaneously transmitted SSBs. The base station may configure a time or frequency offset for different ROs, or a number of preamble cyclic shifts associated with the SSBs. The base station then simultaneously sends a plurality of SSBs to the UE, where each of the SSBs is associated with a different beam, and where each of the SSBs is associated with a different RO or a designated subset of preambles. After the UE simultaneously obtains the SSBs from the base station, the UE may determine the offset for one of the different ROs, or the number of preamble cyclic shifts associated with one of the SSBs. The UE may then send a preamble to the base station in response to the determination.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) generates multiple systematic bits for a message, where the systematic bits are nonuniformly distributed over a time period such that a first bit value has a first probability of occurrence during the time period and a second bit value has a second probability that is greater than the first probability of the occurrence. The UE modulates the systematic bits according to an asymmetric modulation rule such that the first bit value corresponds to a first constellation point on a constellation graph and the second bit value corresponds to a second constellation point that is relatively closer to a center of the constellation graph than the first constellation point based on the second probability being greater than the first probability. The UE transmits the message including systematic bits modulated according to the asymmetric modulation rule.

Communicating nonuniform sources using systematic codes

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a user equipment (UE) transmitting a first signal using a first waveform type. After transmitting the first signal using the first waveform type, the UE may identify a trigger event for waveform type switching by the UE and select a waveform type from among a set of waveform types based on identifying the trigger event. The UE may then transmit a second signal using the selected waveform type.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a loss of coherence associated with the UE. The UE may perform at least one adjustment to a transmission parameter or a reception parameter based at least in part on the indication of the loss of coherence. For example, the adjustment to the transmission parameter may include adjusting a transmit power, adjusting a transmit frequency, adapting a transmission time, changing an antenna port, or a combination thereof. Additionally, or alternatively, the adjustment to the reception parameter may include refraining from joint channel estimation across a plurality of slots, adjusting a downscaling parameter or a frequency tuning associated with at least one reception antenna, refraining from blind decoding, or a combination thereof. Indicating a loss of coherence in a wireless network

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for reporting content processing times to a base station to allow the base station to efficiently schedule bi-directional communications one or more UEs. A content processing time may correspond to the time taken by a UE to process one or more downlink signals received in one or more downlink transmissions. In some examples, the UE may report a content processing time for each downlink transmission. In some examples, the UE may report one or more content processing times for multiple downlink transmissions. The base station may use the content processing times to configure an appropriate gap between downlink and uplink transmissions such that the UE may have sufficient time to process downlink signals before transmitting one or more uplink transmissions in response to the one or more downlink transmissions.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a multi-slot sounding reference signal (SRS) resource. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a configuration of an SRS resource, wherein the SRS resource comprises a set of symbols for transmission of SRS across a plurality of slots, and transmitting the SRS using the set of symbols across the plurality of slots to a base station.

Some wireless communications systems modulate signals for transmission via a channel. Probabilistic shaping may utilize non-uniformly distributed modulation constellations to increase spectral efficiency. In some cases, wireless fading may occur in a multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) channel, which may cause a loss of the shaping gain from probabilistic shaping. Some examples of approaches to linear MIMO demodulation for probabilistic shaping using auxiliary dimensions are provided. A wireless device may receive information indicating a non-uniform probabilistic distribution of a modulation constellation for a MIMO signal. One or more symbols of the MIMO signal may be transmitted or received via a channel. The wireless device may demodulate the symbol based at least in part on a transformation of the modulation constellation to a subspace using dimensions associated with the non-uniform probabilistic distribution and a point of the transformed modulation constellation nearest to a projected symbol in the subspace.

A configuration to allow for the transmission of system information on different beams, where different transmission parameters may be utilized for different beams. Some aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a first wireless device. The method generally includes transmitting control information regarding at least one of scheduling or configuration of a channel state information (CSI) report to be transmitted by the first wireless device.
