A method may include obtaining first nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) data and acquired permeability data regarding a geological region of interest. The method may further include determining, using a neural network and second NMR data, predicted permeability data regarding a predetermined formation within the geological region of interest. The neural network may be trained using the first NMR data and the acquired permeability data. The method may further include determining a predetermined fracture size within the predetermined formation based on the predicted permeability data. The method may further include determining a predetermined type of lost circulation material (LCM) based on the predetermined fracture size. The method may further include transmitting a command to a well system that triggers a well operation using the predetermined type of LCM.

Method and system for determining permeability and lost circulation

A method may include obtaining acquired drilling parameter data regarding a drilling parameter in real-time during a drilling operation for a predetermined well. The method may include determining, based on a drilling cost model, first drilling cost data using the acquired drilling parameter data. The method may include determining whether the first drilling cost data satisfies a predetermined criterion. The method may include determining, in response determining that the first drilling cost data fails to satisfy the predetermined criterion, a replacement component for the drilling operation. The method may include determining, based on the drilling cost model, second drilling cost data based on using the replacement component for the drilling operation. The method may include transmitting a command to update the drilling operation by changing a drilling system to use the replacement component in response to determining that the second drilling cost data satisfies the predetermined criterion.

Method and system for determining a geologically-guided assessment for managing drilling

A method may include obtaining, in real-time, well data regarding a wellbore and drilling fluid data regarding drilling fluid circulating in the wellbore. The method may further include determining, based on the drilling fluid data, a plastic viscosity (PV) value and a yield point (YP) value regarding the drilling fluid. The method may further include determining, based on the well data and the drilling fluid data, an equivalent circulating density (ECD) value of an annulus of the wellbore. The method may further include determining a hole cleaning efficiency (HCE) value based on a hole cleaning model, the PV value, the YP value, and the ECD value. The method may further include determining an adjusted rate of penetration (ROP) value for a drilling operation in the wellbore based on the HCE value and a current ROP value. The method may further include transmitting a command to a drilling system that produces the adjusted ROP value in the drilling operation.

Method and system for real-time hole cleaning using a graphical user interface and user selections

A method may include obtaining, in real-time with a drilling operation, density data regarding a drilling fluid circulating in a wellbore. The method may further include determining mud velocity data of the drilling fluid in the wellbore based on flow rate data and a borehole area of the wellbore. The method may further include determining a cuttings weight of the drilling fluid in the wellbore based on the density data. The cuttings weight and the mud velocity data may correspond to a respective segment length among various segment lengths of the wellbore. The method may further include determining, based on the cuttings weight, the mud velocity data, and a hole cleaning model, various hole cleaning efficiency (HCE) values for the segment lengths of the wellbore. The method may further include determining whether an HCE value among the HCE values fails to satisfy a predetermined criterion.

Method and system for determining hole cleaning efficiency based on wellbore segment lengths

Methods and systems for wellbore path planning are disclosed. The method includes defining total depth coordinates of a candidate wellbore path within a hydrocarbon reservoir, obtaining geoscience data for a subterranean region enclosing the hydrocarbon reservoir, and obtaining historical drilling data from an offset well in the subterranean region. The method further includes training a machine learning network to predict drilling hazard probabilities along the candidate wellbore path using the geoscience data and the historical drilling data. The method still further includes determining a first wellbore path to terminate at the total depth coordinates using the candidate wellbore path and the trained machine learning network.

Methods and systems for wellbore path planning

A method for determining a slips status during a drilling operation of a subterranean formation. The method includes capturing, using one or multiple camera devices mounted on a drilling rig of the drilling operation, a plurality of images, each of the plurality of images comprising a portion that corresponds to a slips device of the drilling rig, generating, using a sensor device of the drilling rig, a plurality of parameters of the drilling rig, wherein the plurality of parameters are synchronized with the plurality of images, providing, by a computer processor, the plurality of parameters as input to a machine learning model of the drilling rig, and analyzing, by the computer processor and based on the machine learning model, the plurality of images to generate the slips status.
