An aquaculture system () for farming aquatic organisms includes an apparatus () for supplying oxygenated water into an enclosure () in which aquatic organisms are to be fanned. The apparatus () includes a water inlet () and an oxygen inlet () to create a water and oxygen mixture. The apparatus () also includes a venturi () arranged to dissolve the oxygen into the water passing through the venturi and such that the oxygen and water mixture passing through the venturi () is exposed to a substantially null magnetic field. The apparatus is also arranged such that the water and oxygen mixture that is supplied to the venturi () contains substantially no colloidal minerals. The apparatus also includes an outlet () for the oxygenated water in fluid communication with, and downstream of, the venturi () and in fluid communication with the inlet of the enclosure ().

Aquaculture system

An apparatus () for dissolving a gas into a liquid includes a liquid inlet () for supplying liquid into the apparatus, a gas inlet () for supplying gas into the liquid within the apparatus and a venturi () arranged to dissolve the gas into the liquid passing through the venturi. The apparatus also includes an outlet () for the liquid and dissolved gas downstream of the venturi. At least part of the liquid inlet, at least part of the gas inlet, at least part of the venturi and at least part of the outlet are formed in an integrally formed piece of material ().

Apparatus for dissolving gas into a liquid

A peptide comprising a unit of formula (I) and having a molecular weight of less than 2000 wherein each X is independently an organic group, e.g. a Calkyl or Calkenyl group, preferably &#x2014;CH&#x2014;CH&#x2550;CH, or the two X groups taken together can form a covalent or non-covalent link between the two O groups, preferably a Csaturated or unsaturated carbon chain optionally interrupted by one or more heteroatoms selected from O, S, N, P, or Si, especially a Ccarbon chain or one X represents an azido group and the other an C2-6-alkynyl group; both Z's are the same and are O or S; each Y is independently C, CH, CH, N or NH; Ris H or Calkyl; Ris H or Calkyl; Ris a Calkyl group, preferably isopropyl; or a salt, ester or prodrug thereof.
