Described herein is a latex coating composition comprising particles of polymer and articles therefrom, wherein at least 60% of interpolymerized monomeric units of the polymer are of formula I, wherein Ris H or CH, L is an alkylene group comprising 1-4 carbon atoms, Rand Rare independently selected from an alkyl group comprising 1 to 3 carbon atoms, n is an integer from 11 to 21, and A is a counter anion.

Aqueous-based release coatings and article therefrom

Cationic or zwitterionic polymer adhesives, adhesive articles, aqueous polymerizable pre-adhesive reaction mixtures, and methods of preparation that include internal incorporation of a hydrocarbon tackifier. An aqueous polymerizable pre-adhesive reaction mixture includes one or more cationic (meth)acrylate monomers, one or more low Tg nonionic monomers having a (meth)acryloyl group, optionally one or more anionic (meth)acrylate monomers, and one or more hydrocarbon tackifiers.

The present disclosure provides a printable composition. The printable composition includes a polymer, a polymerizable component, a temporary solvent, a photoinitiator, and optionally an inhibitor. The present disclosure also provides an article including an integral blend of a thermoset polymer and a second polymer different from the thermoset polymer. Further, the present disclosure provides a method of making an article. The method includes (i) providing a printable composition; (ii) selectively curing the printable composition to form a gelled article; and (iii) removing at least a portion of the temporary solvent from the gelled article. The method may optionally include (iv) curing unpolymerized polymerizable component remaining before or after step (iii). Also, methods are provided, including receiving, by a manufacturing device having one or more processors, a digital object comprising data specifying a plurality of layers of an article, the article including: an integral blend of 8 to 50 wt. %, inclusive, of a thermoset polymer and 30 to 90 wt. %, inclusive, of a second polymer different from the thermoset polymer, wherein the weight percent is based on the total weight of the article; and generating, with the manufacturing device by an additive manufacturing process, the article based on the digital object. A system is provided, including a display that displays a 3D model of an article; and one or more processors that, in response to the 3D model selected by a user, cause a 3D printer to create a physical object of an article.

Foam compositions are provided including a polylactic acid polymer; second (e.g., polyvinyl acetate) polymer having a glass transition temperature (T) of at least 25&#xb0; C.; and plasticizer. An adhesive article for masking a portion of a substrate surface from a liquid coating applied to the surface includes a support having first and second opposed major surfaces, and a cationic or zwitterionic adhesive composition disposed on at least a portion of at least one of the first and second opposed major surfaces. The adhesive composition provides a barrier that impedes the migration of the coating past the edge of the adhesive article.

An adhesion promoter coating composition includes an oligomeric alkylalkoxysiloxane and a compound comprising an electrophile moiety and an alkoxysilyl moiety. The electrophile moiety may contain a sulfide functional group, for example. A dust suppression coating composition includes an acrylic polymer comprising a quaternary ammonium moiety; and an oligomeric alkylalkoxysiloxane. The coating composition may be applied to roofing granules, and/or asphaltic compositions, among other things.

A transparent conductor is provided, including a visible light transparent substrate and metal traces disposed on the substrate, and a layer of a second metal deposited on at least a portion of the metal traces. Transparent conductors including metal traces and methods of making same

An anti-fog coating composition is described comprising an aqueous polymeric dispersion; a crosslinker, and a surfactant. The dried and cured coating composition does not exhibit fogging within 8 seconds after being soaked in 25&#xb0; C. water for 1 hour. In favored embodiments, the dried and cured coating composition does not exhibit fogging within 60 seconds after being soaked in 50&#xb0; C. water for 24 hours. Also described are articles comprising the dried and cured coating composition disposed on a substrate as well as a method a providing an anti-fog coating on a substrate.

In some embodiments, the absorbent article includes a first substrate; and a copolymer irreversibly bonded onto the first substrate to form a core, wherein the copolymer is derived from a polymerizable solution comprising: (a) a first monomer selected from a (meth)acrylic acid or salt thereof; (b) greater than 1 wt % of a second monomer, wherein the second monomer is a hydrophilic crosslinking monomer, and (c) a polymeric porogen.
