A method and a system for identifying an objective from documents is disclosed. In some embodiment, the method includes determining a correlation of each of a plurality of keywords extracted from a set of documents with respect to each class within a set of predefined classes. The method further includes determining a first set of keywords from the plurality of keywords. The method further includes identifying a set of data samples comprising a first plurality of sentences and a second plurality of sentences. The method further includes computing a statistical significance value of each keyword in the first set of keywords with respect to the first plurality of sentences. The method further includes generating a first set of features by discarding at least one keyword from the first set of keywords. The method further includes training a machine learning model to identify an objective of a document.

Method and system to identify objectives from patent documents

A method, corresponding system, and computer program product for retrieving relevant documents is disclosed. The method includes running, by a processor, an enhanced query comprising a set of parameters based on which a relevancy of a document is determined. The set of parameters includes one or more of keywords, classification codes, time period, assignees, inventors, authors, and section properties. Thereafter, the processor assigns a score to one or more documents returned in response to running the enhanced query, wherein the score is determined by a scoring algorithm. The scoring algorithm evaluates a degree to which the enhanced query parameters are matched in the at least one document for computing the score. Finally, the processor selects relevant documents from the one or more documents based on the assigned score. The relevant documents are selected based on the assigned score fulfilling one or more predetermined criteria.

Method, system, and computer program product for retrieving relevant documents

A method for creating a patent document summary from a patent document text is disclosed. The method includes creating a data repository of stop-words based on analysis of a plurality of patent documents, and generating an array including a plurality of tuples from the patent document text based on the stop-words in the data repository. The method further includes identifying at least one word-sequence from the array, such that each of the at least one word-sequence occurs at least twice within the patent document text, and that each of the at least one word-sequence includes a unique last word. The method further includes replacing, for each of the at least one word-sequence, second and subsequent occurrences of each of the at least one word-sequence within the patent document text with an associated substitute word-sequence, and generating the patent document summary for the patent document text.

Method, system, and device for creating patent document summaries

Servers at different locations and storing different data can be designed such that one server can act as an extension of the other server by accepting search queries from the other server and returning a response. The response can also comprise results, from the querying server, from within its own document collection. The other server can then include in its response to its user's queries, results obtained from its extension. One or more of the servers can act as an aggregation server that aggregates data from other servers before sending the data to a querying device or server. Additionally, the aggregation server can modify, add, or delete information from the results, before sending to the querying device, based on previous rules and/or properties associated with the aggregation server.
