Providing access to an enterprise application from a telecommunications device via a client, through a device server, and an intermediate application gateway (IAG), is disclosed. The server is communication with the client and the IAG. The IAG and client are in indirect communication via the server. The client is operative to request an enterprise application token from the IAG using a dataset comprising a device identifier and a user identifier, without concurrently prompting a user for the dataset. The IAG is operative to prepare a token in response to the request, and push the token to an e-mail address associated with the telecommunications device via the server's push proxy gateway. The client is operative to employ the token in communications addressed to an enterprise application via the server and the IAG. The IAG is operative to replace the token in each communication with identification information called for by the enterprise application.

Using a trusted token and push for validating the request for single sign on

A system () and method () is provided for validating a location of a tracking device. The method can include monitoring () a set of signal strengths () to one or more personal area networks () and one or more cellular towers (), generating () a Radio Frequency Time Profile RFTP () from the set of signal strengths, comparing () the RFTP o coverage variation limits () of one or more pre-calibrated paths, and signaling () an alert if the set of signal strengths are not within the coverage variation limit of the one or more pre-calibrated paths. The RFTP is a time series of the signal strengths between the tracking device and the one or more PANs resulting from a change in location of the tracking device.

Method and system for personal area networks

A device () that can perform voice recognition operates with a removable media or memory () that is used to store information records (). To save memory space in the removable media, voice recognition tags (), used to perform voice recognition, are not stored in the removable media, but are stored in the device. Since the media is removable, the device must check to make sure the records stored in the media are usable with the voice recognition tags. This is accomplished by generating a key () whenever a new voice recognition tag is trained (). The key is stored in the device, or in the media, or both. Upon initialization of the device, (), the device searches () the media for records and checks () to see if the key corresponding to the record matches any keys in the device. When a match is found the record is associated () with the corresponding voice recognition tag. Voice recognition tags with no corresponding records are deleted or ignored. When a record with no corresponding voice recognition tag is found, the device may prompt the user to train a new voice recognition tag () for the record.

Method of associating voice recognition tags in an electronic device with records in a removable media for use with the electronic device

Graphical display data representing an image for display is packetized for wireless transmission. At least one command for displaying the image from the data is within the packet. The command is used to display the image, as represented by the packetized data, in related configurations to create an animated display or at predetermined times or intervals to make the image appear spontaneously or be removed after a predetermined period of time for later display or are erased. Transmission of the packetized data occurs when the receiving devise is idle. The transmission of the packets may be interrupted by a present need to establish a communications channel with the receiving device, for example for voice communication or for transmission of hyperlinked data. A handshake protocol is used to assure the parts of the packetized data are successfully downloaded.

Wireless transmission of packetized command and image data

A method for setting up a dynamic group call includes the step () of selecting a group of radios () by a dynamic group call originator (). Once the radios that will be part of the dynamic group have been selected, the dynamic group call originator () transmits a dynamic group call message(s) to each of the selected radios. Each of the transmitted dynamic group call message(s) includes the IP address of one of the selected radios. Upon each of the target radios receiving their individually directed message, the target radios () can each send an optional acknowledgment message to the dynamic group call originator (). The originator () and the target radios () then switch to the dynamic talk group number assigned by the dynamic talk group message. Once the dynamic talk group call has been completed, the originator of the dynamic group call can send a dynamic group call disconnect message, which once received by the target radios () causes them to revert back to their previous operational state. Alternatively, instead of the dynamic talk group originator transmitting a disconnect message, the radio communication system controller () can transmit a disconnect message such as based on a timer (e.g., hangtimer, etc.).

A communication device ( ) capable of transmitting information provides the means for regulating the temperature ( ) of one or more heat-sensitive modules or components ( ) of the communication device through the adaptive and dynamic control of the flow of transmissions by the communication device, thereby eliminating the need for stored thermal profiles of heat-sensitive modules of the communication device. The flow control block ( ) is coupled to the multi-logic controller block ( ) and the heat-sensitive module(s) ( ) and operates to generate a transmission control signal adapted to control transmission of information by the communication device in accordance with the flow control signal ( ) and a second control clock ( ) provided to the flow control block ( ).
