A filter assembly and method include a body having first second surfaces defining a cavity between the surfaces. A conduit system is disposed within the cavity. The conduit system includes an inlet disposed at the first surface and receives a fluid mixture comprising a fluid and debris. The conduit system is shaped to separate a first portion of the fluid and a mixture of a second portion of the fluid and the debris. The conduit system includes a first outlet disposed at a position within the cavity and a second outlet disposed at the second surface of the body. The conduit system directs the mixture of the second portion of the fluid and the debris out of the conduit system and into the cavity of the body via the first outlet, and directs the first portion of the fluid out of the conduit system via the second outlet.

Filter assembly and method

A method or process may be provided that includes forming a first sinterable equipment part using a first manufacturing method, and forming a second equipment part using a second manufacturing method. The sinterable first equipment part may then be heated while securing the first equipment part to the second equipment part to form a monolithic equipment part.

Method and system for manufacturing equipment

A resistor includes an elongated cylindrical body having nodes and elongated members. The elongated members interconnect the nodes to form openings between the nodes and the elongated members for the flow therethrough of a cooling fluid. The body is configured to receive electric current from a powered system and to conduct and provide electric resistance to the electric current to dissipate at least part of the electric current as heat from the body. The body may be coupled with at least one other resistor of the powered system in one or more of a parallel or series arrangement in an electric circuit.

Fluid control device

A thermal management system includes a plurality of thermal management assemblies. Each of the thermal management assemblies has a monolithic foil structure having a body with an external surface and a differently shaped and opposing internal surface. The external surface forms an outer profile and the internal surface forming an internal conduit with the outer profile and the internal conduit having different shapes. The monolithic foil structure is configured to physically isolate a first fluid flowing along the external surface from a second fluid flowing in the internal conduit. The body is configured to transfer thermal energy between the first fluid flowing along the external surface and the second fluid flowing in the internal conduit.

Thermal management system and method

A piston cooling jet is provided that may include a housing having an interior chamber that receives a fluid from an external source, and a conduit coupled with the housing and fluidly coupled with the interior chamber, the conduit having a bent shape to direct the fluid from the interior chamber of the housing toward an underside of an engine piston head. The piston cooling jet may also include a flow straightening nozzle coupled with the conduit and positioned to straighten flow of the fluid exiting from the conduit via the nozzle toward the underside of the engine piston head, the flow straightening nozzle having internal intersecting walls that intersect along a direction of the flow of the fluid in the conduit and out of the flow straightening nozzle.

A resistor includes an elongated cylindrical body having nodes and elongated members. A power diffusing assembly includes a power diffusing body disposed along a flow path of a compressible fluid. The power diffusing body includes passages extending through the power diffusing body and through which at least part of the fluid flows through the power diffusing body. The power diffusing body receives an incoming flow profile of the fluid on an inlet side of the power diffusing body, directs the fluid through the passages in the power diffusing body, and outputs an outgoing flow profile of the fluid out of an outlet side of the power diffusing body. Arrangements of the passages in the power diffusing body are based on the incoming flow profile of the fluid that are received by the power diffusing body and are based on a desired profile of the outgoing flow profile of the fluid exiting out of the power diffusing body.

A resistor of a powered system includes an elongated body that extends from a first terminal end to an opposite second terminal end. The body forms a continuous path that extends from the first terminal end to the second terminal end and that forms a disc. The body is configured to receive electric current from the powered system at the first terminal end and conduct and provide electric resistance to the electric current received from the powered system to dissipate at least part of the electric current as heat from the body. The second terminal end of the body is configured to be coupled with at least one other resistor of the powered system in one or more of a parallel or series arrangement in an electric circuit.
