An actuation assembly for a double throw switch is disclosed. The assembly includes a pair of links. A distal end (D) of each of the pair of links is connectable to a first switch and a second switch of the double throw switch. A proximal end (P) of each of the pair of links includes a protuberance. Further, the assembly includes a drive disc securable to a wall of the double throw switch. The drive disc is defined with a plurality of slots of pre-defined profile. Each of the plurality of slots is structured to accommodate and guide the protuberance extending from a corresponding link of the pair of links. A lever arm is connectable to the drive disc and is operable to at least one of a first position, a neutral position, and a second position.

Actuation assembly for a double throw switch

A circuit breaker including a case, a trip mechanism, and a trip lever moveable between a first position and a second position. The trip lever includes a first end selectively contacting the trip mechanism and a second end opposite the first end. The circuit breaker also includes a biasing device including a housing coupled to the case and a lever arm coupled to the housing. The lever arm includes an engagement surface in contact with the second end and configured to move between an initial position corresponding to the first position and a final position corresponding to the second position. The biasing device also includes a bias member extending between the housing and the lever arm and biasing the engagement surface against the second end. The lever arm exerts a first torque in the first position and exerts a second torque different from the first torque in the second position.

Self-resetting biasing devices for current limiting circuit breaker trip systems

A load center includes an arc fault circuit interrupter comprising a plurality of contacts, an operating mechanism for separating the contacts, and an arc fault trip mechanism to generate a trip signal in the event of an arc fault detection. The load center also includes a neutral link electrically connected to the arc fault trip mechanism and the plurality of contacts. The load center further includes a mounting rail operatively coupled to the arc fault circuit interrupter, the arc fault circuit interrupter directly supported by the mounting rail. The load center yet further includes a neutral busbar and a plug-in neutral conductor electrically connecting the mounting rail to the neutral busbar.

A magnetic trip mechanism for a circuit breaker includes an electrically conductive strap having a first wall portion and a second wall portion that define an interior space therebetween. Also included is a flux block disposed at least partially within the interior space, and movable in response to a short circuit condition of the circuit breaker. Further included is a trip lever operatively coupled to the flux block. Yet further included is a trip latch moveable between a latched condition and an unlatched condition with a handle, wherein rotation of the trip lever occurs in response to the short circuit condition and causes movement from the flux block to actuate the trip latch to the unlatched condition.

A draw-out type circuit breaker apparatus is provided and includes a base from which a circuit breaker is selectively dismounted and moved along a first portion of a dismounting path into a disconnected position, a plate, fixed to the base, which is configured to guide the movement of the circuit breaker along the dismounting path, and a toggle link, coupled to the plate and biased to remain in a locking position, which is configured to block the circuit breaker from moving along the dismounting path beyond the disconnected position while the toggle link remains in the locking position, and to cause the circuit breaker to freely move from the disconnected position and along a second further portion of the dismounting path upon a temporary defeat of the bias thereof.

A lock housing for a circuit breaker accessory housing includes a body having a aperture configured to receive a keyed lock, a collar circumscribing the aperture at a first end of the housing, the collar extending radially outward from the body, and at least one resilient member integral to the housing, the at least one resilient member configured to engage the circuit breaker accessory housing.

A draw-out mechanism for a molded case circuit breaker includes a fixed side plate and a plurality of auxiliary contacts mounted to the fixed side plate. The draw-out mechanism also includes a movable member moveably mounted to the fixed side plate. The movable member includes a cam member that acts upon the plurality of auxiliary contacts. The draw-out unit further includes a front panel member having a visual indicator mechanism and a locking mechanism provided with a padlock locking arm, a door lock and a second lever. In addition, the draw-out unit includes a connector plate that operatively couples the movable member and the front panel member. The connector plate includes a plurality of adjustment portions that establish a desired extension of the connector plate relative to the movable member to accommodate a predetermined spacing between the movable member and the front panel member.

Draw-out mechanism for molded case circuit breakers

A secondary disconnect for a circuit breaker drawout system is provided. The secondary disconnect includes a plurality electrical connectors that are coupled to spacer frames. The spacer frames are movably mounted to guide pins that couple the secondary disconnect to the circuit breaker. A compression spring is disposed about the guide pin and bias's the secondary disconnect. A second spring positioned within the spacer frame applies a biasing force when the circuit breaker is in the racked-in position.
