Electrified vehicle electrical systems and formatting methods include arranging a first layer including one or more first electrical transmission lines each configured to carry electrical power at a first voltage to one or more electrical powertrain components of the electrified vehicle, arranging a second layer above at least a portion of the first electrical connection layer, wherein the second layer includes one or more second electrical transmission lines each configured to carry electrical power at a second voltage to one or more electrical power distribution components of the electrified vehicle, and arranging a third layer above at least a portion of the first and second layers, wherein the third layer includes one or more third electrical transmission lines each configured to carry electrical power at a third voltage to one or more input/output device components of the electrified vehicle.

Vehicle electrical interconnection system

A filter insert is provided for being removably arranged in a filter housing and includes a first actuation arrangement positioned at a first end of the filter insert, wherein the first actuation arrangement is adapted for being actuated by a corresponding second actuation arrangement of a filter housing lid for controlling a relative axial movement between the filter insert and the filter housing lid.

The invention relates to an engine oil system () for supplying oil to oil using components () in a vehicle (). The engine oil system comprises an oil pan () for holding oil received from the oil using components, an oil pump () fluidly connected to the oil pan for pumping oil from the oil pan to the oil using components, and an oil filter () configured for cleaning the oil. The oil filter has a filter inlet () for receiving oil to be cleaned, and a filter outlet () for discharging oil from the oil filter. The oil filter is arranged in the oil pan such that, in use, the filter outlet discharges oil into the oil pan.

The invention also relates to a vehicle test apparatus () configured to executed the method of the invention.

Method for testing interaction points of vehicle components by means of a vehicle test apparatus and such test apparatus

A method for monitoring the operation of a sensor is provided. The method comprises the step of representing the operation of the sensor by: i) storing a plurality of data values, each data value corresponding to the sensor output signal, wherein said step is performed during a time period such that said data values are distributed over a range of possible data values, ii) defining a plurality of discrete intervals within said range of possible data values; and iii) calculating the frequency of the data values within each interval thus forming a sensor representation. The method further comprises the steps of receiving at least one reference sensor representation; and comparing said sensor representation with said at least one reference sensor representation.

Method and apparatus for providing an automatic defroster function for a surface in a vehicle including a sensor for detecting the presence of mist or ice on such a surface, means for generating control signals, on the basis of the sensor data, for a number of functions in the car for an optimum defroster function on said surface, means for receiving these control signals, and means for receiving control signals from a temperature regulator in the car for a number of functions in the car. A number of the control signals from the temperature regulator are intended to control the same functions as the control signals for the optimum defroster function, and the same means are used for receiving control signals for optimum defroster function and for receiving some of the control signals from the temperature regulator. The means for receiving control signals are intended, in the event of conflict, to select those control signals that are designed to give the best defroster function.
