An electronic device () in a cluster () that has the potential to serve as a new cluster head () receives cluster head assistance data from a current cluster head () device. The cluster head assistance data includes at least one data item related to establishment of operative communication with the wireless communications network () over a network communications interface () of the electronic device. If the electronic device is assigned to be the new cluster head, it injects the at least one data item into a process related to operation of the network communications interface and establishment of the operative communication with the wireless communications network; establishes the operative communication with the wireless communications network; and carries out cluster head functions on behalf of the cluster.

System and method for sharing cluster head assistance data in a device cluster

A plate package made according to the method includes first heat exchanger plates and second heat exchanger plates. Each heat exchanger plate has a first porthole, and the port hole of at least one of the heat exchanger plates is surrounded by a peripheral rim. The first heat exchanger plates and the second heat exchanger plates, are joined to each other and arranged side by side in such a way that the peripheral rims together define an inlet channel extending through the plate package. The peripheral rim of the first and/or the second heat exchanger plates has at least one through hole, forming a fluid passage allowing a communication between the inlet channel and the first plate interspaces. The at least one through hole is made in a condition in which the first and the second heat exchanger plates have been joined to each other to form the plate package.

Method of making a plate package for a plate heat exchanger

A diagonal gasket support () in a heat exchanger cassette adapted for a heat exchanger having a contact-free flow channel (), where the cassette () comprises two plates () of the same type, where each plate is provided with a corrugated pattern having a plurality of ridges () and valleys (), characterized in that the diagonal gasket support () comprises a plurality of indentations () and protrusions () positioned adjacent each other along a diagonal gasket groove (). The advantage of such a diagonal gasket support is that a contact-free support at the diagonal gasket is obtained.

Heat exchanger

A plate heat exchanger includes a plurality of heat exchanger plates formed of a metal sheet and permanently joined to each other by means of a braze material to form a plate package having first plate interspaces and second plate interspaces. Each heat exchanger plate has a pattern forming a heat transfer area and a plurality of porthole areas. Each heat exchanger plate extends along a main extension plane. The areas extend, on one side of the heat exchanger plate, between a primary level at a distance from the main extension plane and a secondary level at a distance from and on an opposite side of the main extension plane. Each heat exchanger plate has a depth defined by the distance between the primary level and the secondary level. The depth is equal to or less than 1.0 mm.

Plate heat exchanger

A plate heat exchanger including a plurality of heat exchanger plates joined to each other. Each plate has a heat transfer area, a first porthole area, a second porthole area, a third porthole area and a fourth porthole area. Each porthole area surrounds a porthole having a porthole edge. Each porthole area comprises an annular flat area, a set of inner portions on the annular flat area along the porthole edge, and a set of outer portions along the annular flat area at a distance from the inner portions. The outer portions of the first porthole area have a first relative peripheral position with respect to the inner portions. The outer portions of the fourth porthole area have a second relative peripheral position with respect to the inner portions. The first relative peripheral position includes a peripheral displacement in relation to the second relative peripheral position.

A plate heat exchanger includes a plurality of heat exchanger plates. The plates are provided beside each other and permanently joined to each other to form a plate package having first plate interspaces and second plate interspaces. Each plate has a heat transfer area and four porthole areas defined by a porthole edge. Each of the porthole areas includes an annular flat area located at one of a primary and secondary level, and a set of inner portions on the annular flat area at the other of the primary and secondary level. Each inner portion has an inner part adjoining the porthole edge and an outer segment adjoining the inner part and having an angular extension of at least 180&#xb0;. The outer segment has a continuous contour and a radius R, which is allowed to vary within the range 0.8R&#x2266;R&#x2266;1.2R.

A plate heat exchanger including a plurality of heat exchanger plates (), a first end plate and a second end plate. The plates are permanently joined to each other by means of a braze material. Each heat exchanger plate has a heat transfer area and a plurality of porthole areas surrounding a respective porthole. The plate heat exchanger including a plurality of having a bottom surface turned towards the heat exchanger plates. At least one of the flat elements including an annular protrusion extending from the bottom surface and tightly abutting one of the porthole areas of the outermost heat exchanger plate.

A method and device, for a heat exchanger which is provided with gaskets, for assessing and detecting the risk of fluid leakage in the heat exchanger due to worn-out gaskets. In the heat exchanger, a heat transfer plate () with gasket () is provided with a pressure sensor () which monitors the pressure between the plate () and the gasket (). A further sensor is adapted to the heat exchanger for monitoring the pressure of the fluid entering the heat exchanger.
