A gasket locating arrangement for a flow module, preferably plate reactor, includes a gasket, one or more locating devices, a channel in a channel plate, and a barrier plate. The gasket consists of a sheet of soft gasket material. The sheet has a cut through pattern corresponding to the channel in the channel plate. The locating devices are in the gasket, in the channel plate, in the barrier plate or combinations thereof. The locating devices are headed pins, fitting pins, protruded pins, integrated pins, dowel pins, grooves, holes, under cut recesses, thickened parts in the gasket material, and/or gasket deformation zones.

Gasket locating arrangements

A clamping device includes two end plates, disc springs, a grid of pistons, and tension rods. Each of the two end plates defines a plate area located within a perimeter thereof. The clamping device has piles of disc springs arranged as a grid of springs threaded on respective ones of the grid of pistons. The piles of disc springs is distributed and supported over the plate area on one of the two end plates. The grid of springs is positioned inwardly from the tension rods. The grid of springs is positioned to distribute clamping forces on one or more flow module plates, on one or more reactor plates, on one or more heat exchanger plates or on combinations of one or more flow module plates, one or more reactor plates, or on one or more heat exchanger plates, which plates are placed between the two end plates.

Clamping device for flow module plates, reactor plates or heat exchanger plates

A flow module port fitting to be inserted in port hole in a flow module, which port hole is in communication with flow channel. The port fitting comprises a head, and a shaft with a center axis, attached to the head, wherein the shaft has a first and a second end portion, the port fitting comprises further a fastening element at its first end portion for fastening the port fitting to the flow module or flow plate. The port fitting comprises further a seal arranged either externally on said shaft or seal is arranged at the second end portion facing away from the head, or seal is arranged in the short side of said second end portion, wherein seal is sealing port hole together with port fitting from the fluids flowing in flow channel.

The present invention relates to a residence time plate comprising a stack of at least two substantially parallel and elongated flow chambers arranged such that the elongated side of each flow chamber lies next to the elongated side of a neighboring flow chamber and is separated by said neighboring chamber by a separation wall. Each separation wall has at least one through hole forming a communication between two neighboring flow chambers, and the through holes are arranged in the separation walls on alternating sides of an imaginary central line drawn through the stack of flow chambers such that the flow direction in a flow chamber is along the extension of the flow chamber and opposite the flow direction of a neighboring chamber. Moreover, the residence time plate comprises at least one liquid inlet and at least one liquid outlet arranged such that liquid flowing from said inlet to said outlet passes through the stack of flow chambers. Further, at least one flow-path enhancing insert is arranged in at least one flow chamber and forming a number of insert flow passages in said flow chamber, wherein the insert flow passages are arranged such that liquid flowing in the flow chamber is directed through said insert flow passages, thereby forming a zigzag flow path along the flow direction of the flow chamber.

The present invention relates to a clamping device comprising two end plates (), springs (), and tension rods (), wherein the springs () are arranged on a supporting element to distribute clamping forces on one or more flow module plates, one or more reactor plates, one or more heat exchanger plates, or combinations thereof, which plates () are placed between the two end plates (). The present invention relates also to a method for opening and closing a plate reactor or a flow module, and uses of the clamping device.

The present invention relates to a clamping system comprising two or more grids of springs in a flow module or in a plate reactor. The invention also relates to methods for opening and closing a clamping system, a frame arrangement, a control system for pressure release, and a use of the clamping system as a plate reactor.
