An electric motor for driving a vehicle flap is provided, the electric motor including a hollow-cylindrical shaped stator made of a permanent-magnetic material and arranged coaxially to a motor axis, a motor shaft disposed coaxially with the motor axis and at least partially within the stator and mounted for rotation relative to the stator about the motor axis, and a drive rotor disposed within the stator and mounted on the motor shaft and including a plurality of coils for driving rotation of the motor shaft relative to the stator about the motor axis. The electric motor includes a braking rotor disposed in the stator, mounted on the motor shaft along the motor axis adjacent the drive rotor, the brake rotor being magnetisable by the stator. Use of the electric motor for driving a vehicle flap and to a method of manufacturing the electric motor is also provided.

Provided is a motorized drive system for actuating a door, including at least one gear having a spindle axis and a drive axis, wherein the gear assembly is designed to convert a rotational movement about the drive axis into a rotational movement about the spindle axis; at least one spindle assembly having a threaded spindle which can be rotated about a spindle axis, wherein the threaded spindle is mechanically coupled to a part of the gear assembly that can be rotated about the spindle axis, and at least one drive assembly for driving the threaded spindle with a drive shaft, wherein the drive shaft is mechanically coupled to a part of the gear assembly that can be rotated about the drive axis.

A brake module for a drive system, in particular for doors, including at least one thrust washer and at least one brake disc, wherein the at least one thrust washer and the at least one brake disc each have at least one friction surface rubbing against each other during braking operation is provided. The embodiments also relate to a drive system, in particular for doors, including such a brake module. The embodiments further relate to a production method for a brake module of the abovementioned type. Known brake modules have a high variation in the braking force on the one hand in the course of their service life and on the other hand as a function of the temperature.

A drive mechanism having a drive motor that rotatably drives a threaded spindle against a specific braking force generated by a pretensioned spring of a friction brake arrangement. The drive motor and the threaded spindle are arranged coaxially in a housing tube of the drive mechanism, and components of the friction brake arrangement are arranged in a tubular brake housing, which is arranged in an axially and rotationally fixed in the housing tube. A first end of the brake housing has one or more radially inwardly directed first stop shoulders and at a second end of the brake housing has one or more radially inwardly directed second stop shoulders. The brake housing has at its first end a radially circumferential ring with one or more radially resilient spring arms extending axially toward the second end, at the free ends of which spring arms are arranged the second stop shoulders.
