An attachment system for a wearing point on a plough share includes a wearing point forming one of a connection socket and a connection pin, and a holder configured to receive the wearing point and to be fixed to the plough share. The holder forms an other of the connection socket and the connection pin. The connection pin and the connection socket are provided with complementary, cooperating guide portions. The holder is provided with a first bolt-hole group and a second bolt-hole group. The first bolt-hole group is complementary to an attachment-hole group of a left-hand plough share, and the second bolt-hole group is complementary to an attachment-hole group of a right-hand plough share.

A replaceable wear part for mounting on a leading edge of a working tool, the leading edge and the wear part having co-operative guide formations extending generally perpendicular to the leading edge and which provide a socket and projection type of slidable inter-fit whereby the wear part can be driven by a force extending generally perpendicular to the leading edge in order to take-up a working position in which it is secured against displacement from the working position by frictional interengagement between the guide formations on the wear part and the leading edge, and without need for threaded or other separate removable fasteners.

A combination of a soil-working part and a mounting part to be provided on a plough body. The working part has a pair of opposed working tips and is configured to be mounted on the mounting part so that one of the tips is an outboard tip. The outboard tip projects from the mounting part so as to be capable of carrying out a soil-working operation in use of the plough body. The other of the tips is an inboard tip in which the working part has first and second modes of adjustment relative to the mounting part when tip wear occurs.

An integrated soil cultivation apparatus (20) which is coupled to the rear of a propelling vehicle (21) and can carry out a number of different soil working operations during forward movement, the apparatus comprising a frame; a coupling arrangement (2) at the forward end of the frame; a first packer (9) arranged to support the forward part of the frame (1); a second packer (11) arranged to support the rear part of the frame (1); depth adjustable levelling tines (8) arranged forwardly of the first packer (8); rows of transversely extending harrow tines (26 and 27) mounted on the frame (1) between the first and second packers (9 and 11); rear rows of tines (28, 29) preferably provided with coulter tubes for seed distribution; and a lowerable set of transport wheels (3) arranged to support the rear end of the frame (1) during transport only, but being raised out of contact with the ground so that soil cultivation can take place, whereby the first and second packers (9 and 11) carry out dual function of soil crumbling operations or packing of the loosened soil, and also being adjustably mounted on the frame (1), also control the working depth of the soil working implements.

Reversible plough/seed preparation device combination

A reversible plough, that in one embodiment is of the semi-mounted type, and comprises a main beam, a coupling structure at the forward end of the main beam, and a carrying beam. Pairs of plough bodies are mounted along the length of the carrying beam. The carrying beam is pivotably connected to the main beam to move between a first and a second ploughing position for plough body reversal. The reversible plough further includes a coupling beam that is secured to the carrying beam, and a soil preparation device such as a packer that prepares the soil turned over by the plough bodies for seed. The coupling beam projects laterally from the coupling beam in either ploughing position and is moveable with the carrying beam during plough body reversal. A hopper is mounted at a fixed location relative to the packer and the reversible plough combination, and a distributor is mounted on the packer and arranged to distribute the hopper content onto the ground. The hopper contents are conveyed by a flexible distribution system that includes a line extending between the hopper and the distributor.

Reversible Plough

An agricultural implement wherein a plurality of cultivators such as plowshares are attached to mounts (7) on a frame (1) which can be adjusted for different plow strip widths by a hydraulic cylinder (15) and a parallel strut (10), the frame (1) being pivotally attached (3) to a drag beam (4) that is adapted to be pivotally mounted (5) on a tractor hitch (6) for coupling to a tractor. A first link (12) is provided which is pivotally attached (13) to the tractor hitch (6) and to the frame (1), such that when the frame (1) is pivoted for changing the plow strip width, all of the plowshare mounts (7) will be displaced correctly in relation to each other while at the same time the first mount (7) is displaced correctly in relation to the tractor centerline. A second link (20) is also provided, pivotally attached (19, 21) to the strut (10) and the tractor hitch (6), such that when the frame (1) is pivoted for changing the strip width, all of the plowshare mounts (7) are pivoted in relation to the frame (1) such that the mounts (7) are always oriented in the same way and correctly in relation to the direction of driving.

A first segment usually attached to a tractor is pivotally linked by a first bolt to a second pivotal segment. For example, which may be moved between an extended outward working position and a retracted, non-working inward position. A hydraulic cylinder and piston are mounted on the fixed segment and the free end of the piston is pivotally linked to the base of a substantially U-shaped member. One arm of the U-shaped member is pivotally linked to the fixed segment, and the other arm of the U-shaped member is pivotally linked to one end of a coupling member. The other end of the coupling member is pivotally linked to the pivotal segment. In the extended position, the arms of the U-shaped member pivot down wardly, and the end of the coupling member connected to the pivotal segment comes to rest between the arms of the U-shaped member in horizontal alignment with the links connecting the U-shaped member to the fixed segment and pivotal segment. Arms of the U-shaped member come to rest in a position substantially surrounding the bolt connecting the fixed segment to the pivotal segment, and the two segments are thereby locked in the extended position.
