Systems and methods for landmark correction in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) are provided. One method includes acquiring at least one calibration image or at least one localizer image of an object, identifying in the calibration or localizer images a region of the object as a reference point, wherein the reference point defines a landmark position. The method further includes determining an offset between an initial landmark position and the identified landmark position. The method also includes using the determined offset for MRI.

Systems and methods for landmark correction in magnetic resonance imaging

A system and method for MR imaging includes a computer programmed to determine first and second view-ordering sequences. The first and second view-ordering sequences comprise values corresponding to respective views of first and second k-space data sets, respectively, wherein the values corresponding to a central view of each the first and second k-space data sets are positioned such that acquisition of k-space data in each central view is acquired from a first and second anatomical region, respectively, as a contrast agent passes therethrough. The positions of the values corresponding to the central views of the first and second k-space data sets within the respective sequences are different. The computer is further programmed to acquire MR data according to the first and second view-ordering sequences over a series of cardiac cycles to fill data in the first and second k-space data sets, respectively.

Method and apparatus for contrast inflow dynamic MR angiography

A system and method of free-breathing MR imaging saturates an entire navigator profile at the end of an imaging segment of physiological motion cycle, e.g., heart cycle, thereby providing a uniform recovery of longitudinal magnetization for the next imaging cycle. Through use of at least one dephaser gradient following the image acquisition segment and a navigator RF saturation pulse, residual transverse magnetization is dephased and spins within a navigator tracker are saturated to ensure a uniform recovery of longitudinal magnetization for the next imaging period.
