A furnace for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit includes a heat exchange tube configured to flow combustion products therethrough and place the combustion products in a heat exchange relationship with an air flow directed across the heat exchange tube. The furnace also includes a burner assembly fluidly coupled to a first port of the heat exchange tube and configured to generate the combustion products directed into the heat exchange tube via the first port, and a draft inducer blower fluidly coupled to a second port of the heat exchange tube and configured to draw the combustion products through the heat exchange tube. The burner assembly is higher in position than the draft inducer blower relative to a base of the HVAC unit.

A furnace system includes a heat exchanger and a burner assembly including a burner enclosure fluidly coupled to the heat exchanger. The burner assembly is configured to receive a fluid, ignite the fluid to produce combustion byproducts, and direct the combustion byproducts to the heat exchanger. The furnace system also includes a pressure sensor configured to detect a pressure within the burner enclosure. The furnace system is configured to operate based on the pressure detected by the pressure sensor.

Systems and methods for operating a furnace system

In an aspect, an HVAC system includes an inducer motor to provide combustion airflow, and a pressure sensor to measure an output airflow pressure of the inducer motor. The HVAC system may initiate the inducer motor, and receive a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal from the inducer motor, wherein the PWM signal indicates a PWM signal of the inducer motor corresponding to a predetermined airflow pressure of the inducer motor and measured by the pressure sensor. The HVAC system may compare the PWM signal to a baseline value, and control the inducer motor based on the comparing of the PWM signal to the baseline value. The HVAC system may also generate a status notification of the combustion airflow of the HVAC system in response to the comparing the PWM signal to the baseline value.

A system faults to a return air sensor integrated within a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit. The system transmits a signal to a remote sensor. The system determines that a return signal is not received from the remote sensor. The system obtains a temperature reading from the return air sensor. The system determines whether the temperature reading satisfies a temperature setting stored in the memory. In response to determining that the temperature reading does not satisfy the temperature setting, the system enables heating or cooling of the HVAC unit until the temperature setting is satisfied. In response to determining that the temperature reading satisfies the temperature setting, the system disables heating or cooling of the HVAC unit.

A condensate drain system for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a heat exchanger having a plurality of tubes configured to receive ambient air and fluidly coupled to a drain via a conduit, a valve positioned along the conduit between the plurality of tubes and the drain, where the valve is configured to enable a flow of condensate from within the plurality of tubes toward the drain in an open position and the block the flow in a closed position, and a controller configured to adjust a position of the valve based on feedback indicative of an operational state of the HVAC system.

The present disclosure provides systems, apparatuses, and methods for monitoring building efficiency by a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. In an aspect, an HVAC unit including a memory and a processor coupled with the memory is disclosed. The processor may be configured to establish a current building efficiency state value of a current run cycle of the HVAC system. The processor may also be configured to determine an building efficiency state deviation value based on a difference between an average building efficiency state value of a set of previous building efficiency state values and the current building efficiency state value. The processor may further be configured to determine whether the building efficiency state deviation value satisfies a building inefficiency threshold. The processor may also be configured to provide an indication including an inefficiency status to a device associated with the HVAC system based on a determination that the current building efficiency state satisfies the building inefficiency threshold.

A blower assembly includes a blower shelf having a first support channel. The blower shelf includes a guide bracket coupled to the blower shelf to form a second support channel. A blower housing having a flange is configured to extend into the first support channel and the second support channel. The flange of the blower housing is configured to engage with the first support channel and the second support channel during transition of the blower housing along a first direction and into an installed configuration of the blower housing and during transition of the blower housing along a second direction, opposite the first direction, and into an uninstalled configuration of the blower housing. The second opening has a second cross-sectional area greater than the first cross-sectional area of the first opening of the condensate pan. The pocket is configured to be coupled to the surface of the condensate pan such that the wall of the pocket surrounds the first opening in the surface of the condensate pan.

The headless thermostat device includes one or more circuits configured to receive a control input from a user device via a local wireless network and generate a control signal for HVAC equipment based on the control input. The adapter unit includes one or more circuit configured to receive the control signal from the headless thermostat device via the local wireless network and provide the control signal to the HVAC equipment for operation of the HVAC equipment in accordance with the control input.
