A method including: receiving data associated with a unique identity of a vehicle asset to identify the vehicle asset; receiving data associated with a unique identity of a smart wheel chock to identify the smart wheel chock; associating the identified vehicle asset with the identified smart wheel chock, such that a location of the smart wheel chock can represent a location of the vehicle asset; receiving location data associated with the location of the smart wheel chock, wherein the received location data is based, at least in part, on location data generated by one or more systems on the smart wheel chock; and identifying the vehicle asset location based on the received smart wheel chock location data such that the vehicle asset can be determined and relayed to a user device to locate the vehicle asset.

Systems and methods for displaying connectivity strength for vehicles are disclosed. For instance, the method may include receiving, from an off-board station, connectivity data relating to a connected vehicle, the connectivity data having been received from a plurality of connected vehicles other than the connected vehicle and selected based on relevance to the connected vehicle; identifying a portion of the received connectivity data to display on the connected vehicle; generating a display of the identified portion of the received connectivity data; and displaying on a display unit of the connected vehicle, the generated display of the identified portion of the received connectivity data. The method may also include generating and displaying an updated route based on the received connectivity data.

System and method to display connectivity strength and communication performance of connected vehicles

Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable media for providing contextual building height information to one or more operators of an aircraft. For instance, the method may include obtaining aircraft flight information including a current position and a current altitude of the aircraft; and retrieving, from a database, building information for one or more buildings located in a flight path area, the flight path area including the current position of the aircraft. The method may further include assigning one or more visual characteristics to each of the one or more buildings located in the flight path area based at least in part on the building information and the current altitude of the aircraft; and displaying, to the one or more operators of the aircraft, the one or more buildings located in the flight path area with the assigned one or more visual characteristics.

Method and systems for providing contextual building height information to aircraft operators

Methods and systems for providing off-board recharge station information for an urban air mobility (UAM) vehicle flying on an intended trip. The method includes displaying a map showing the UAM vehicle at a current location, the intended trip, and an endurance line that represents an extent of the available UAM charge. The method retrieves recharge station information including a station name, location, number of recharge ports at the station, and a compatibility type for each of the recharge ports. The method identifies recharge stations that are compatible with the UAM vehicle and can be reached from the intended trip with the UAM available charge, and also updates information associated with the identified recharge stations responsive to a received real-time status update. The method visually depicts the identified recharge stations and visually distinguishes an identified recharge station having a shortest path deviation from the intended trip.

Systems and methods for displaying off-board recharge station information for an urban air mobility (UAM) vehicle

The disclosure is directed to techniques that use a data communication system such as ADS-B to provide an output to alert an aircraft operator of an incorrect barometric pressure setting for a pressure altimeter, and provide the correct altimeter setting. For example, the system may compile the ADS-B Out data from other aircraft operating near a first aircraft to provide the barometric pressure setting in use by the other aircraft. A system of this disclosure may identify the altimeter setting used by majority of the other aircraft in a region of airspace. If a first aircraft's current barometric altimeter setting is different from the setting of the majority of the nearby aircraft, then the system may generate an output to alert the operator of the first aircraft of a potential incorrect altimeter setting as well as provide a suggested barometric altimeter setting.

Detecting an incorrect altimeter setting

A vehicle system includes a control unit with a weather module configured to receive weather data and to identify a wind shear zone at a location based on the weather data, the weather module further configured to generate wind shear coordinate data and wind shear characteristic data based on the weather data. The control unit further includes a display module configured to generate display commands based on the wind shear coordinate data and wind shear characteristic data from the weather module. The vehicle system further includes a display device coupled to receive the display commands from the control unit and configured to display a three-dimensional forward perspective view corresponding to a vehicle environment. The display device is further configured to display first wind shear symbology within the view at a position that indicates the location of the wind shear zone.

Aircraft systems and methods for displaying wind shear

A method for presenting weather information onboard an aircraft is provided. The method obtains a first set of weather data from aircraft onboard radar system; obtains a second set of weather data from external sources including one or more external aircraft, a satellite, a remote server, and a ground-based weather station, wherein the communication device is compatible a communication protocol for the external sources, and wherein the communication protocol comprises at least one of a datalink communication protocol, a satellite communication protocol, a very high frequency (VHF) radio communication protocol, and a transponder communication protocol; and presents graphical elements comprising a first set of graphical elements associated with the first set of weather data and a second set of graphical elements associated with the second set of weather data, wherein the second set of graphical elements include visual characteristics distinguishable from the first set of graphical elements.
