A heat exchanger layer having an inlet side, IN, where a medium enters the layer and an outlet side, OUT, where the medium exits the layer, and a plurality of fins defining a plurality of flow channels for the medium from the inlet side to the outlet side. Each fin has a leading edge adjacent the inlet side and a trailing edge adjacent the outlet side, and wherein the leading edge of a subset of the fins is thicker than the rest of the fin, and the leading edge of the fins intermediate the fins of the subset of fins is recessed with respect to the inlet side compared to the leading edge of the fins of the subset of fins.

Additively manufactured heat exchanger layer

A check valve has a valve housing defining a first valve opening and a second valve opening. A first flapper is pivotably mounted around a first axis for rotation relative to the housing between an open position at which it permits fluid flow through the first valve opening and a closed position at which it prevents fluid flow through the first valve opening. A second flapper is pivotably mounted around a second axis for rotation relative to the housing between an open position at which it permits fluid flow through the second valve opening and a closed position at which it prevents fluid flow through the second valve opening. The first axis is spaced laterally from the second axis. A method is also disclosed.

Check valve

A water extractor including: an inlet; an outlet; a body including a helical passageway having an exit proximate the outlet and an entrance; an elbow connector enclosing a fluid passageway that fluidly connects the inlet to the entrance of the helical passageway, the elbow connector being bent at a selected angle and including an inner radius and an outer radius opposite the inner radius; and a baffle extending from proximate the inlet to the entrance and located within the fluid passageway of the elbow connector, the baffle being configured to partition the fluid passageway into a first fluid passageway proximate the inner radius of the elbow connector and a second fluid passageway proximate the outer radius of the elbow connector.

Helical water collector

A check valve comprises a valve housing defining an opening and a plurality of flapper elements each pivotally mounted to the valve housing about a respective axis transverse to the opening in which the flapper elements permit flow of fluid through the opening and a closed position in which they block the flow of fluid through the opening. Each flapper element comprises a first side facing the valve housing sealing surface in the closed position, a second side, opposed to the first side and facing away from the valve housing sealing surface in the closed position, a base end, a first edge region extending away from the base end and a second edge region extending away from the base end.
