A blast system for processing components by means of abrasive particles, comprising a hopper (1) for abrasive particles (2), a mixing device (3) formed by a mixing chamber (9) into which an HP-air pipe (10) issues and which in its turn issues into a blast pipe (11), a transport line (5) between the hopper and the mixing chamber, through which line the abrasive particles are transported from the hopper to the mixing chamber, means (6) for generating HP-air (P) which is supplied to the mixing chamber through the HP-air pipe for obtaining a mixture of air and abrasive particles issuing from the blast pipe, and a transport mechanism (4) for transporting the abrasive particles through the transport line. To obtain an energy-efficient system suitable for mass manufacture, the invention is characterized in that the system operates at an absolute pressure (P) of the HP-air of between 2 and 4.5 bar, while a ratio d.sub.1 /d.sub.2 of a smallest diameter d.sub.1 of the HP-air pipe issuing into the mixing chamber to a smallest diameter d.sub.2 of the blast pipe lies between 0.6 and 0.9, while P&lt;13.25-12.5 d.sub.1 /d.sub.2))).

Blast system

A flat glass panel 1 for a picture display device of the flat type, is formed by two glass cover plates (3, 5) with at least one glass plate (4, 4', 4', . . . ) between them, and a vitreous frit (8) between the cover plates along the outer edges of the cover plates so as to obtain a box-type glass panel in which a channel structure is present. After heating to the melting temperature of the frit (8), the panel is cooled down to a transitional temperature of the frit, while the space between the cover plates is partly exhausted during the cooling-down phase at a temperature which lies between the melting temperature and the transitional temperature of the frit. Then the temperature is kept constant at approximately the transitional temperature until the frit has become undeformable, said space (13) between the cover plates (3, 5) being fully evacuated then. Finally, cooling-down continues to room temperature, and the space (13) inside the panel is hermetically sealed off.

Method of manufacturing a flat glass panel for a picture display device

The invention relates to a depilation apparatus of the type with which liquid wax is applied to the skin, which wax is removed together with the hairs after solidification, the apparatus comprising a housing (1) with a reservoir (2) for holding a wax block (3), which reservoir is in connection with an outlet opening (4) in a wall of the housing, the apparatus being provided with a rotatable distributor roller (5) near the outlet opening for applying the liquid wax to the skin. To obtain shorter heating-up times as well as a good sealing for the wax block, the apparatus is provided with a heater element (7) located between the end of the reservoir (2) and the distributor roller (5), while a heat-conducting sealing (10) for the wax block is present near the end of the reservoir (2) facing the distributor roller.

Depilation apparatus

The invention relates to a method of asymmetrically cleaving a plate (1) of brittle material, in which a thermal load and a mechanical load are provided on the plate (1) and the plate (1) is cleft along a desired cutting line (7).

An accurate and controlled division of the ring core 42 is obtained independent of the ratio between the heat supplied and the rate of movement v.
