The present invention is directed to a process for the production of hydrocarbon product from two different hydrocarbonaceous feedstocks comprising the steps of preparing a feed syngas having a hydrogen/carbon monoxide [H/CO] molar feed ratio suitable for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, wherein the feed syngas is prepared by combining a first syngas having a H/CO molar ratio below the molar feed ratio and a second syngas having a H/CO molar ratio above the molar feed ratio; the first syngas is prepared from a liquid hydrocarbon comprising feedstock as the sole source of carbon in a first syngas manufacturing process comprising a non-catalytic partial oxidation step; the second syngas is prepared from a methane comprising feedstock as the sole source of carbon in a second syngas manufacturing process comprising a heat exchange reforming step and an auto-thermal reforming step; and the first and second syngas manufacturing processes are operated in parallel.

Fischer-tropsch process

A method for producing a gas comprising at least 80 vol % carbon monoxide from a Fischer-Tropsch off-gas comprises: (1) feeding Fischer-Tropsch off-gas through a column comprising an adsorbent bed at high pressure and discharging effluent; (2) reducing the pressure in the column and the bed slightly; (3) rinsing the column and the adsorbent bed with methane or a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide; (4) reducing the pressure of the column and adsorbent bed to a low pressure; (5) rinsing the column and adsorbent bed with a mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen; (6) pressurizing the column and adsorbent bed to a high pressure using a mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen. The product stream obtained in step (3) comprising at least 80 vol % carbon monoxide can be sent as feed to a Fischer-Tropsch reaction. In an embodiment, a gas comprising at least 80 vol % hydrogen is also produced.

Method for processing fischer-tropsch off-gas

The invention is directed to a process for the production of hydrocarbon products from a methane comprising feedstock comprising of the steps of: preparing a feed syngas comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide having a hydrogen/carbon monoxide molar feed ratio in a syngas manufacturing process and using the feed syngas in a Fischer-Tropsch process using one or more fixed bed catalyst beds as present in one or more syngas conversion reactors thereby obtaining the hydrocarbon product and an residual tail gas. The manufacturing process comprises of two parallel operated syngas manufacturing processes starting from the same gaseous methane comprising feedstock. One syngas manufacturing process is a partial oxidation (POX) process which prepares a syngas having a hydrogen/carbon monoxide [H/CO] molar ratio below the molar feed ratio and The second syngas manufacturing process is a heat exchange reforming (HER) process, which prepares a syngas having a hydrogen/carbon monoxide [H/CO] molar ratio above the molar feed ratio.

Production of a synthesis gas blend and use in a fischer-tropsch process

A method for producing a gas comprising at least 80 vol % carbon monoxide from a Fischer-Tropsch off-gas comprising: (1) feeding Fischer-Tropsch off-gas through a column comprising an adsorbent bed at high pressure and discharging effluent; (2) reducing the pressure in the column and the bed slightly; (3) rinsing the column and the adsorbent bed with methane or carbon dioxide; (4) rinsing the column and the adsorbent bed with carbon dioxide; (5) reducing the pressure of the column and adsorbent bed to a low pressure; (6) rinsing the column and adsorbent bed with a mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen; (7) pressurizing the column and adsorbent bed to a high pressure using a mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen. The carbon monoxide rich product stream obtained in step (3) can be sent as feed to a Fischer-Tropsch reaction. In an embodiment, a gas comprising at least 80 vol % hydrogen is also produced.

Method for processing Fischer-Tropsch off-gas

A reactor assembly for analysing the effluent stream from at least one flow-through reactor, The reactor includes a flow-through reactor for performing at least one chemical reaction. The flow-through reactor includes a reaction chamber including a reaction zone, the reaction chamber being connected to a reactor inlet for a reactant, upstream of the reaction zone and a reactor outlet for the effluent stream from the reaction zone, downstream of the reaction zone; and an analyser for subjecting the effluent stream to an analysing procedure, each reactor outlet being connected to an analyser by an effluent conduit. The reactor assembly further includes a dilution fluid supply member for adding a dilution fluid to the effluent stream, downstream of the reaction zone.

Reactor assembly

The system comprises a tubular vessel allowing a flow of fluid through said vessel and an assembly for housing said vessel. The assembly comprises a base block having a first channel formed therein for removably housing the vessel, said first channel having first and second channel openings allowing introduction and/or discharge of a fluid into and from said first channel. The assembly also comprises a cover element having a bottom surface being releasably attachable to the first face of the base block. A first sealing element is provided between the first face of the base block and the bottom surface of the cover element, the first sealing element surrounding the first channel opening completely, and thereby sealing gastight around said first channel opening between the cover element and the base block. The system further comprises a second sealing element located in the first channel, said second sealing element sealing gastight against the inside of the first channel and the outside of the vessel.

System for performing experiments, in particular for high throughput experimentation

The system comprises a flow through reaction vessel having an inlet, an outlet and a reaction zone intermediate said inlet and outlet. The system further comprises reagent feed means for introducing one or more reagents into said vessel, said one or more reagents forming one or more reaction products in said reaction zone. Said reagent feed means at least include a liquid feed means for introducing a liquid into said inlet of said vessel. The vessel has a liquid evaporation zone intermediate said inlet and said reaction zone. Said liquid evaporation zone comprises an evaporation structure contacting said liquid and providing a liquid residence time in said liquid evaporation zone improving evaporation of said liquid.

A low-temperature fuel cell assembly including of a low-temperature fuel cell () in combination with a sweeping gas circuit () for at least the anode part thereof. The fuel gas is prepared by filtering via a semi-permeable wall () and the yield from this process is increased by employing sweeping gas. This sweeping gas is obtained by producing it in the sweeping gas circuit (). During operation some of the sweeping gas is continuously discharged and fresh sweeping gas is continuously produced. With this arrangement it is possible to use hydrogen as fuel gas. Sweeping gas is obtained by injecting air () and combusting () the oxygen contained therein with hydrogen. It is also possible to perform a methanisation reaction starting from hydrogen as fuel gas by providing CO/COas a result of which the sweeping gas is methane.
