A method in a wireless device is disclosed. The wireless device receives an uplink grant from a network node, the uplink grant scheduling one or more uplink transmissions by the wireless device. The wireless device selects an ON/OFF time mask to use for transmitting the one or more uplink transmissions. The wireless device determines, based on the received uplink grant, an allowed placement of a transient period of the selected ON/OFF time mask and a duration of the transient period to use for the one or more uplink transmissions.

According to certain embodiments, a method by a wireless device is provided for determining a maximum output power. A method for interference coordination comprises receiving, from a first network node, a reference signal indicating that one or more second network nodes are experiencing interference. The reference signal indicates at least one identifier for the first network node and for the second network nodes. The method further comprises preparing a remote interference management (RIM) coordination message based on the reference signal, and sending, to the first network node, the RIM coordination message to be forwarded to the second network nodes. The method provides a communication between a central aggressor network node and a central victim network node to exchange reference signal and RIM coordination information. Inter-node coordination for cross-link interference management

Embodiments include methods, performed by a network node, for configuring a physical random-access channel (PRACH) of a cell in a time-division-duplexed (TDD) radio access network (RAN). The methods include determining an increase in a level of remote interference in the cell and, in response to determining the increase, selecting a first PRACH configuration from a first subset of available PRACH configurations. The first subset of available PRACH configurations can be more robust against remote interference than a second subset of the available PRACH configurations, and the first subset can be exclusive of the second subset. According to some embodiments, a network node in a frequency division duplex (FDD) wireless communication network is operable to schedule a first downlink transmission with a first transmission processing time on a first frequency carrier. The scheduling comprises a first downlink assignment index (DAI). The first DAI comprises a first total DAI and a first accumulative DAI. The network node is operable to schedule a second downlink transmission with a second transmission processing time different than the first on a second frequency carrier. The scheduling comprises a second DAI. The second DAI comprises a second total DAI and a second accumulative DAI. The network node expects hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for the first downlink transmission and the second downlink transmission in a single uplink transmission. The network node is further to transmit the scheduling for the first and second downlink transmission to a wireless device.

Downlink assignment with different processing times

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for mapping Synchronization Signal Blocks (SSBs) to transmit beam directions taking into account remote interference. In this regard, embodiments of a method performed by a base station in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a base station in a cellular communications network comprises determining a beam direction to SSB index mapping, taking into consideration remote interference. The method further comprises using the beam direction to SSB index mapping. Because the SSBs have corresponding Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) occasions, determining the beam direction to SSB index mapping taking into account remote interference improves PRACH preamble robustness.

SSB to RO mapping against remote interference

A method by a communication device for supporting a random access procedure in a wireless communication network. The communication device provides an indicator for indicating a presence of an initial access request by the communication device. The initial access request is part of the random access procedure. The indicator comprises a pre-defined synchronization sequence, wherein one of: the indicator comprises a first access burst extending over one time slot, wherein the first access burst comprises the pre-defined synchronization sequence, which is longer than 41 bits, and the indicator comprises a second access burst extending over two time slots, the second access burst comprising the pre-defined synchronization sequence, which is longer than 88 bits. The communication device transmits the indicator on a random access channel in uplink to a network node. The indicator indicates the presence to the network node of the initial access request.
