A lighting audit system includes a lighting audit docking station in communication with the smart device and a database, where the lighting audit docking station includes a targeting unit and a camera. A lighting audit method includes providing a physical parameter to a lighting audit table for a space-under-study, representing the space-under-study on a virtual map presented on a display, adding surface characteristic data for the space-under-study into the lighting audit table, measuring the physical dimensions of the space-under-study using the targeting unit, the physical dimension measurements being stored in the lighting audit table, entering into the lighting audit table parameters for a luminaire located in the space-under-study, and calculating a lighting audit for the space-under-study based on data in the lighting audit table.

Lighting audit docking station device and method thereof

A lighting device combined with an air purification feature is disclosed. At least one function of the device is to provide high quality directional light for general lighting purposes. An additional function is to decompose VOCs and/or destroy microbes in the ambient air. The heat generated by white LEDs is utilized to generate air flow through the device. The geometry is designed to utilize the chimney effect and maximize volumetric flow. The circulated air is purified by a photocatalytic layer applied to the interior surface of the device. The lighting device can be built into pendant luminaires or lamps, thus ensuring vertical orientation of the light module. The exemplary embodiments may be applied in public places, hospitals, ward rooms, and other locations where a cost effective disinfection method is needed.

Device with combined features of lighting and air purification

A luminescent material includes an aluminate phosphor of formula IAMgAlO:Eu, R, where&#x2266;0.4, 0&#x2266;&#x2266;1 and 0&#x2266;&#x2266;0.2. A is selected from Ca, Ba, and Sr and combinations thereof. The aluminate phosphor is doped with a rare earth ion (R), which exists in stable multi-valence states in the luminescent material. Ris selected from the group consisting of Sm, Yb, Tm, Ce, Tb, Prand combinations thereof. Phosphors of formula I may be blended with other blue, yellow, orange, green, and red phosphors to yield white light phosphor blends. A lighting apparatus including such a luminescent material is also presented. The light apparatus includes a light source in addition to the luminescent material.

Rare earth doped luminescent material

There is disclosed a light source module comprising a high intensity discharge light source; optical elements including at least a reflector for redirecting and focusing the light emanating from said light source; and electronic elements for supplying said light source with voltage and current of a predetermined waveform and magnitude. The light source may have optical and/or electric parameters at least partially different from optical and/or electrical standard parameters of a light source of identical type. In order to provide a predetermined illuminating beam pattern compatible with the standard, the optical and/or electronic elements are adjusted to the optical and/or electrical parameters of said light source.
