A method of measuring rinse properties of a composition from a surface. The method includes providing a treatment composition comprising a UV fluorescent dye. The method also includes taking a first image of a surface. The method also includes applying the treatment composition to the surface after taking the first image. The method also includes taking a second image of the surface after applying the treatment composition to the surface. The method also includes rinsing the surface with water after taking the second image. The method also includes taking a third image of the surface after rinsing the surface. The method also includes analysing the first image, the second image, and the third image to quantify an amount of the treatment composition remaining on the surface after rinsing the surface.

Method for determining rinse properties

A method of measuring rinse properties of a composition from a surface, the method includes providing a cosmetic treatment composition. The method also includes applying the cosmetic treatment composition to a surface. The method also includes rinsing the surface with a first amount of water after applying the cosmetic treatment composition to the surface. The method also includes collecting a portion of the first amount of water after rinsing the surface with the first amount of water. The method also includes measuring a first turbidity of the portion of the first amount of water after collecting the portion of the first amount of water.

Disclosed are water-based personal cleansing compositions having an isotropic surfactant phase, the compositions containing (a) an amidoamine surfactant, (b) cleansing surfactant, (c) water, and (d) protonating agent, the cleansing surfactant containing 85 to 100% by weight of a combination of betaine surfactant and taurate surfactant in particular ratios; also disclosed are methods of thickening such compositions by the addition of electrolyte.
