Systems and methods of the present disclosure are directed to efficiently editing data requests sent from devices, allowing for an improved database information delivery system. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, an administrator device limits an amount of data requested based on a number of factors prior to sending the request to a server. In some embodiments, a server, after receiving a request for refreshed data, reduces the amount of data requested based on a number of factors prior to retrieving the requested data from a source and delivering the requested data to an administrator device.

Method and system for integrated optimized reporting

A contact center includes: a microprocessor; a computer readable medium, coupled to the microprocessor, to store, for one or more contact center objects, contact center information; and a microprocessor executable report generator, The report generator, when executed, receives, from a user, a selected contact center object, retrieves, from the computer readable medium, a set of data elements associated with the selected contact center object, the set of data elements defining a first space having a first dimension, projects the set of data elements onto a subspace of the first space to form a transformed set of data elements, the subspace having a second dimension less than the first dimension, and provides, for display to a user, the transformed set of data elements.

Managing contact center metrics

Methods for enabling call center agents to adapt their servicing of incoming calls based on the estimated value of the calls are disclosed. In accordance with the first illustrative embodiment, when there is a 'high-value' call waiting in the queue while one or more agents are currently servicing lower-value calls, an agent who is servicing a lower-value call is informed that there is a higher-value call waiting in the queue, and is prompted to provide an estimate of how much longer he or she will be servicing his or her current call. The call center system selects which agent the high-value call will be routed to based on: (i) the agents' responses to the prompts, and (ii) for each of the responding agents, a measure of how closely prior responses from the agent compared to the actual amount of time taken by the agent to complete servicing the call.

Servicing calls in call centers based on estimated call value

A data store (e.g., a relational database, an object-oriented database, an unstructured file system, an in-memory data structure, etc.) and associated methods are disclosed for predicting the accuracy of agent responses in a call center. In accordance with the illustrative embodiment, agents in a call center are prompted at different times during their workday for estimates of how much longer they will be servicing their current call, and the estimates are stored in the data store along with the actual times required for completion of the call. Statistics for each agent's prediction accuracy are computed and stored in the data store along with the raw data, and can then be used to assess the accuracy of subsequent agent responses to queries.

A shelving system includes a frame with vertical frame members and cross braces, a shelf with three-sided perimeter groove and under-shelf groove, a wire perimeter shelf support engaging the perimeter groove and vertical frame members, and a wire under-shelf support constructed to engage the under-shelf groove and the vertical legs in a stable arrangement. The assembled shelving system does not require tools or separate fasteners for assembly, and assembly is quick, easy and intuitive, yet allows for flexibility, customization, and adaptation for different uses and desired aesthetics. A variety of very different shelving systems can be constructed by purchasing different frames, shelves, and accessories. The system can be leaned against a wall at an angle, or fastened vertically against a wall. Shelves are angularly adjustable, height adjustable, and replaceable. A pair of systems angled against each other form a free standing arrangement, and can support a header panel therebetween.

A contact center includes a real time threshold prediction module that determines that a selected performance measure will, during a future time interval, likely cross a selected threshold and, in response, performs at least one of the following operations: (i) determines, for the likely crossing of the selected threshold, a consequence in a selected service level agreement and determines a set of corrective actions to reduce a likelihood that the selected performance measure will cross the selected threshold.

A staircase structure, representatively at least partially curved, is constructed from longitudinal modules each having tread, riser and stringer portions. In one embodiment of the construction technique, stringer portions of the modules are longitudinally telescoped with one another and then intersecured so that the interfitted modules form successive longitudinal portions of the assembled staircase structure. In another embodiment of the construction technique, stringer portions of the modules are vertically stacked and then intersecured. Illustratively, the riser and stringer portions of each module are of a laminated wooden construction shaped in situ on the underside of module tread portion by a CNC milling machine.

A method of manufacturing a staircase handrail volute, comprising the steps of: (a) cutting a workpiece from wood with a bandsaw such that the workpiece has an approximation of a shape of the volute, wherein the approximation dimensions are larger than the shape dimensions; (b) mounting the workpiece so that the workpiece may be operated on by a numerically controlled machine tool; (c) cutting a bottom surface of the workpiece to the shape dimensions with the machine tool; (d) cutting lower side surfaces of the workpiece with the machine tool to a first dimension between the approximation dimensions and the shape dimensions; (e) cutting the lower side surfaces of the workpiece with the machine tool to the shape dimensions; (f) drilling at least one mounting hole in the bottom surface with the machine tool, the at least one mounting hole for holding the workpiece in steps (g) through (j); (g) turning the workpiece over and mounting the workpiece so that the workpiece may be operated on by a numerically controlled machine tool; (h) cutting an upper surface of the workpiece with the machine tool to a second dimension between the approximation dimension and the shape dimension; (i) cutting upper side surfaces of the workpiece with the machine tool to the shape dimensions; and (j) cutting the upper surface of the workpiece to the shape dimensions with the machine tool. Other systems, devices and methods are disclosed.

Universal staircase handrail volute

Improved methods of fabricating at least partially curved staircases include a first method in which preformed step structures have treads with curved slots formed in the underside of the ends which define a path for insertion of top edge segments of thin starter strips. The slots are collectively configured to laterally deflect the inserted starter strips in a manner longitudinally conforming them to at least partially curved paths of the overall stringer structures in the completed staircase. The stringers are then laterally built up and completed by securing reinforcing structures to the side surfaces of the laterally deflected strips. A second method uses preformed cooperating treads and risers themselves as a form which defines an at least partially curved path for the stringers. Simple temporary supports both position the cooperating treads and risers and provide a solid support for laying up strips from the inside out to form stringers to support the stair and back finishing strips along curved paths defined by the cooperating treads and risers wherein the finishing strips have edges configured to interengage the outer ends of the cooperating treads in a rigid assembly and form smooth sides of the staircase. The procedure is designed to allow the stringers to be made from flexible strips which are conveniently boxable and shippable because smooth butt joints are made while the ends are solidly supported and thus prefabricated staircase kits are made practical.

Methods of manufacturing curved staircases and staircases produced

Prefabricated handrail fittings are disclosed which contain preformed internal slots which accept simple fasteners for quickly making mitered and butt joints without hand working in the field. A plurality of interconnected slots are arranged internally along a longitudinal axis to provide fittings which are adjustable in length with only a simple transverse saw cut and which adjustably cover the entire range of angular inclination of an inclined handrail to which the fittings may be joined. A single angular fitting can be used to make either left or right turning connections between an uprising easing section and a post. A universal uprising easing is provided. Short extensions can be connected to surfaces while working from upper side without hand working.

Prefabricated curved handrail structure and connection methods

The construction and installation of a curved, laminated wooden bending rail used as a hand rail on a spiral staircase or the like is significantly facilitated utilizing a series of contoured clamp structures which circumscribe the rail and uniformly engage it, at each clamp location, around its entire periphery. Each clamp structure includes a pair of bolt-connected clamping blocks which may be drawn into circumbscribing abutment with and tightened around the rail. When the clamp structure is fully tightened, the surfaces of cutout portions in the two clamping blocks each closely conform to and uniformly engage a lateral half of the rail periphery and laterally clamp the rail laminae together with a clamping force which is very evenly distributed along the nonplanar opposite lateral side surfaces of the clamped rail section, thereby essentially eliminating marring and deformation of the rail caused by clamping force concentrations on circumferentially spaced portions thereof.
