Synchronization of precision timing signals maintained by multiple communication networks is described. A precision timing signal may be generated based on the change in state of a plurality of processors. Synchronization of the precision timing signals may be facilitated by a computing device monitoring at least two communication networks. The computing device may generate time offsets that are derived from the precision timing signals associated with each communication network. The time offsets may be communicated by the computing devices to remote devices communicatively coupled to the computing device via a first communication network.

Methods and systems are provided for assigning one or more Virtual Network Function (VNF) instances, or slices, to devices, and for monitoring each change of state associated with the slices. Embodiments include applying an Advanced Security Control (ASC) protocol to verify devices for each request for access to a slice, to establish a zero trust measurement with respect to a network, such as a 5G network. In embodiments, a blockchain is associated with each slice and stored in a distributed ledger, for example to allow rapid access to network slice and device information if a slice will be re-instantiated.

A method for partitioning media content across different network slices in a network is comprises receiving, by a device from a server via a first network slice, a first ledger and a first partition of objects. The first ledger comprises data describing the first partition of objects and parameters for rendering the first partition of objects, and the first network slice is a first logical portion of the network associated with network elements configured to forward traffic according to a first quality of service network performance criteria. The method further comprises rendering, by a rendering application of the device, the first partition of objects based on the first ledger.

A Network Exposure Function (NEF) charges a user for a wireless data service. The NEF exposes a service charge for the wireless data service to the user. The NEF receives a user request for the wireless data service at the service charge. The NEF directs a wireless communication network to deliver the wireless data service to the user in response to the user request. The NEF receives network data from the wireless communication network that indicates a delivery of the wireless data service to the user. The NEF exposes service data to the user in response to the network data. The service data characterizes the delivery of the wireless data service and indicates the service charge.

A collector ambient electromagnetic power harvesting (AEPH) device for collecting and forwarding data is disclosed. The device includes an antenna, an AEPH circuit converting RF energy from the antenna into electrical power, and a memory and a controller powered by the AEPH circuit. The controller receives in a first RF signal information from a reporter AEPH device, including data and the reporter ID. The controller stores the data in the memory with an association to the reporter ID. The controller receives in a second RF signal an interrogation signal. In response, the controller transmits a response via the antenna including the reporter ID and data in the memory associated with the reporter ID. The interrogation signal may be received and the response transmitted in a first RF band and/or communication protocol, and the information may be received in a second RF band and/or communication protocol.

Systems and methods for immutable archiving of UE connection data for wireless communications networks are provided. In one embodiment, a method comprises: detecting when a UE has initiated access to a network operator core through a radio access network; determining whether a witness data collection service is to be activated for the UE; when the witness data collection service is to be activated: activating the wireless data collection service for a UE monitoring session; initiating transmission of a UE monitoring session block sequence from the UE to the network operator core, wherein the session block sequence comprises blocks each comprising collected witness data characterizing a connection between the UE and the network operator core during the UE monitoring session; determining when the UE monitoring session is complete; closing the session block sequence to form a ledger archive and storing the ledger archive to an immutable witness data archive.

Systems and methods for immutable archiving of user equipment connection data for wireless communications networks

A programmable radio exposure function switches between real-time and near-real-time modes of operation for a radio access network (RAN) intelligent controller of a telecommunications system. An application programming interface is exposed by the radio exposure function and performs radio resource management for the telecommunications system. The application programming interface communicates with services and/or applications to control RAN functions, and allocates RAN resources of the telecommunications system to a user equipment for the services and/or applications. A machine learning module is embedded within the radio exposure function and trained to identify network slices of the telecommunications system for the services and/or applications. The machine learning module analyzes data received from the user equipment to detect that the user equipment has violated a security constraint of the telecommunications system.

The wireless communication system generates a content-address from a data set. The wireless communication system stores the content-address in association with the data set. The wireless communication system encrypts the content-address with a system key and transfers the encrypted content-address to the wireless communication device. The wireless communication device decrypts the encrypted content-address with a user key to obtain the content address. The wireless communication device re-encrypts the content-address with the user key. The wireless communication system receives the re-encrypted content-address from the wireless communication device and decrypts the re-encrypted content-address with the system key to obtain the content-address. The wireless communication system retrieves the data set from the memory circuitry with the decrypted content-address. The wireless communication system delivers the wireless data service to the wireless communication device based on the retrieved data set.

The selections that comprise this filtering may be based on device location, device identifier, digital certificates, device application identifiers, device component identifiers, alarms, messages, time, day, date, and/or some other factors.

A method for implementing a slice security zone (SSZ) in a 5G network. The method comprises storing by an SSZ function executing on a first network server an SSZ security profile of the SSZ in a secure storage function, receiving by the SSZ function from a slice management function a slice registration request comprising information relating to a slice security profile of a slice managed by the slice management function, if the slice security profile complies with the SSZ security profile, storing by the SSZ function a slice registration association between the slice and the SSZ in the secure storage function, and sending by the SSZ function to the slice management function a slice registration response comprising information relating to whether the slice was registered in the SSZ.

5G hyperledger slice security framework

In a wireless communication network, an Application Function (AF) exposes an Application Programming Interface (API) for User Equipment (UE) information, and in response, receives API calls from an external data system. The AF transfers API responses to the external data system. The AF transfers API usage data to distributed ledger circuitry. The distributed ledger circuitry stores the API usage data in data blocks that form a blockchain. The distributed ledger circuitry terminates the blockchain, and in response, transfers a terminating data block for delivery to a network data system. The network data system generates an API charge based on the AF API usage data in the terminating data block.

In response, the processing circuitry generates network signaling that characterizes the memory call and authorization factors for the memory call. The processing circuitry directs the memory circuitry to perform the memory call in the protected memory region for the user application per the memory instruction.
