A polyurethane is produced by reacting at least components A and B, where a) a polyisocyanate or mixture of polyisocyanates is used as component A and b) a polyol or mixture of polymer is used as component B. Component B contains at least one polyether having a number average molecular weight of at least 4000 and a polydispersity of less than 1.5 and/or an OH functionality of between about 1.8 and about 2. Preparations containing such polyurethanes are useful as adhesives, coatings and sealants.

This invention relates to a jointing compound of an acrylate/acrylonitrile copolymer containing 2 to 8 carbon atoms in the alcohol component as binder and fatty compounds as plasticizer and also fillers and auxiliaries. Epoxystearic acid methyl ester in particular may be used as the fatty compound while a butyl acrylate/acrylonitrile copolymer in particular may be used as the acrylate/acrylonitrile copolymer. The combination of the two substances results in jointing compounds characterized by a dramatic improvement in elasticity (resilience). Accordingly, they are particularly suitable for substrates with different coefficients of thermal expansion.

A cyanoacrylate adhesive contains an added ester, the ester used being at least one partial and/or full ester of monobasic or polybasic aliphatic carboxylic acids containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms directly attached to one another and monohydric to pentahydric aliphatic alcohols containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms directly attached to one another, the number of carbon atoms directly attached to one another in the other aliphatic groups being at most three where one aliphatic group contains 4 or 5 carbon atoms.

Cyanacrylate adhesive with ester and polymer additives

The present invention relates to a device for removing joint filler and a method of using the same. The device includes a body member and a peeling element located adjacent to the front end of the body member. The peeling element includes at least two peeling points, where the first peeling point is located proximate to the topside of the peeling element and the second peeling point is located proximate to the underside of the peeling element. The device also includes an opening located between the peeling element and body member.

Hand-held device for removing joint fillers

The invention relates to a cartridge system comprising a tubular cartridge pistol and a cartridge which can be inserted into the cartridge pistol. The outlet end of the cartridge protrudes out of the cartridge pistol when the cartridge is in an inserted position. The cartridge is provided with an attachment piece at the end for attaching an outlet nozzle. The aim of the invention is to improve the cartridge system in such a way that handling during operation of the system is considerably simplified and in particular no additional auxiliary elements are required apart from said cartridge system. To this end, the attachment piece is sealed with a pierceable membrane on the inside, and the outlet nozzle is provided with piercing elements at the attachment end for piercing the membrane. The piercing elements can be engaged with the attachment pierce.
