A valve train device for switching a lift of gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine includes a camshaft. A cam group includes at least two cams disposed on the camshaft. At least one lever is mounted axially displaceably relative to the camshaft and is in contact with one of the at least two cams and includes an actuation region for a direct or indirect actuation of at least one gas exchange valve. An adjustment unit is operatively connected to the lever so as to displace the lever. The unit includes at least one rotatable adjustment shaft, at least one sleeve having at least one guide track mounted on the shaft non-rotationally and axially displaceably, an engagement element fixed to a housing and engaging permanently in the at least one guide track and supporting the at least one sleeve with respect to the housing, and a further engagement element.

Valve train for internal combustion engines for actuating gas exchange valves

The invention relates to a valve train for internal combustion engines, comprising a camshaft and valve actuation elements for one or more valves, the elements being located in the cylinder head. The aim of the invention is to provide a valve train for an internal combustion engine, with which a reliable stroke adjustment of the valves can be made, without the need for complex technical resources, while at the same time allowing a forward or rear displacement of the valve orifice region. To achieve this, in order to modify the valve stroke curve, the contact point between the transfer member and the cam can be displaced along the periphery of the cam and the contact point between the transfer member and a control curve of the support body can be displaced, forcing the part of the transfer member that interacts with the cam to be guided, by shifting the transfer member in relation to the camshaft.

A valve drive for charge-cycling valves of internal combustion engines, which are held in the closed position by means of spring force, and can optionally be activated by a main cam or additionally by a secondary cam of a camshaft, in which connection the main cam with its elevation curve and angle setting is adapted to the crankshaft of a charge-cycling process to be controlled, and the secondary cam operates separately from the main cam. The drive variably controls an additional opening procedure of a charge-cycling valve, separate from the charge-cycling stroke to be controlled directly, in order to sensitively regulate the exhaust gas feed-back in this manner. The drive has two engagement surfaces for introducing movements on a pivot lever mounted on the cylinder head, which activates at least one charge-cycling valve. The first engagement surface on the pivot lever engages the main cam and the second engagement surface on the pivot lever contacts a transfer device for variable adjustment of the valve lift, driven by the second cam.

Valve drive for charge-cycling valves of internal combustion engines

A device for variable activation of valves for internal combustion engines, which is arranged in a cylinder head having a camshaft mounted in a fixed location with valves that close by means of spring force through a stroke transfer arrangement. This device includes a movable element mounted with a fixed pivot, and has a support cam and a control cam. An intermediate member is displaceably mounted and supported on the element, and is in engagement with a cam lever of the camshaft, as well as the stroke transfer arrangement. The intermediate member supports itself on the support cam and control cam with a non-positive lock, sliding during the stroke movement. Whereby the control cam determines the stroke movement to be transferred to the stroke transfer arrangement by the intermediate member, as a function of the pivot position of the element that can change its position.
