The method serves for automatic checking of the availability of technical equipment which is arranged in or at a building and executes at least one repeatable procedure, and comprises the following steps. There is determined at least one estimated value (N(i,t)) for the frequency of the performance of the procedure for a first time period and/or second estimated value (N(i,t+&#x394;t)) for the frequency of the performance of the procedure for a second time period. A measured value N(i,t)) for the frequency of the performance of the procedure for the first time period is determined and the measured value is compared with at least one of the estimated values (N(i,t), N(i,t+&#x394;t)). If the measured value (N(i,t)) is smaller by a predetermined amount (N(i,t)&#x2212;N(i,t), &#x394;N) than the respective estimated value (N(i,t), N(i,t+&#x394;t)) at least one test of the technical equipment is carried out, in which test at least one reaction of the technical equipment is registered and compared with a target reaction, wherein in the case of availability of the technical equipment the reaction corresponds with the target reaction.

Method and device for automatic checking of the availability of technical equipment in or at a building

A method for automatic checking of the availability of an elevator installation having at least one elevator ascertains at least one first estimated value for a use frequency of the elevator for a first time period and/or a second estimated value for the use frequency for a second time period that begins later than the first time period. A measurement value for the use frequency for the first time period is determined and the measurement value compared with at least one of the estimated values. If the measurement value is smaller by a predetermined amount, at least one predetermined command for carrying out at least one test of the elevator installation is given, wherein in the case of availability of the elevator installation the test leads to a desired reaction. Subsequently, at least one reaction of the elevator installation is registered and compared with the desired reaction.

Method and device for automatic checking of the availability of an elevator installation

In an elevator installation system of at least one elevator installation with one or more elevators and a service center, which is functionally connected therewith, but provided spatially separate therefrom, the control device of the elevator installation is likewise disposed in the service center. The control device stands in connection with the elevator installation by way of a data transmission device. Data for the control of the elevator installation are prepared in situ and transmitted either to the service center or to the control device, preferably by way of a public telephone network. After processing of the information in the service center, a return transmission of the ascertained control instructions and a corresponding actuation of the setting members and actuators for the operation of the elevators take place.
