A method for monitoring a wind turbine. A monitoring signal, including an audio signal and/or an image signal, is received from a monitoring device. Operating data are calculated based on the received monitoring signal. An operating condition and/or a deviation is determined by comparing the operating data to baseline data.

A system for the noise reduction of wind turbines comprises at least one acoustic sensor provided at the wind turbine, a detection unit and a control unit, wherein said detection unit is adapted to detect tonal components in a signal of said sensor, and wherein said control unit is adapted to control wind turbine operating parameters in dependence of an amplitude of a tonal component.

Tonal emission control for wind turbines

An emergency pitch drive unit for a wind turbine comprises: an electrical motor arranged for adjusting the pitch angle of a wind turbine rotor blade; an emergency power supply unit for supplying electrical power to the motor; and a controller configured for controlling, in the event of a power failure. The motor to adjust the pitch angle uses the electrical power from the emergency power supply unit. The emergency power supply unit comprises a fuel cell.
