A chassis for use in a motor vehicle with variably adjustable drive height includes a subframe assembly for fastening wheel suspensions of the motor vehicle, and a plurality of control arms for guiding a wheel carrier. The control arms are fastened to the subframe assembly via control arm attachment points. A plurality of eccentric adjustment devices are provided for adjusting the toe-in and the basic camber of the motor vehicle. An insert element is provided for receiving an eccentric adjustment device. The insert element is arranged within the chassis in such a way that the position of at least one eccentric adjustment device can be varied by varying the arrangement of the insert element within the chassis.

Chassis for a motor vehicle with variably adjustable ride height

A subframe for a rear axle of a motor vehicle includes a transverse structure and a steering device for wheels of the motor vehicle which are fastened to the rear axle. In the installed state of the subframe in the motor vehicle, the transverse structure extends in the transverse direction of the motor vehicle. The transverse structure includes an upper transverse structure element and a lower transverse structure element. The steering device is arranged between the upper transverse structure element and the lower transverse structure element.

Subframe for a rear axle of a motor vehicle

The subframe contains a framework which is cast as a single part and has profiled hollow members for the longitudinal and cross members. The cross members are connected to each other via supporting pillars at the corners, or are integrally formed on the supporting pillars. Arms which protrude outward are integrally formed on the supporting pillars or on the longitudinal and cross members, the end sides of which arms have connecting bearings toward the vehicle body. A differential is held on the two cross members, the differential having one mounting on the front cross member and two mountings on the rear cross member. The longitudinal members have a curved passage opening for the drive shafts of the differential. Mountings for wheel guiding links are arranged on the outside of the longitudinal member.
