A liquid crystal display device includes: a display panel; a light source which provides a light to the display panel; a light guide plate which receives the light from the light source on a surface thereof and guides the light to another surface thereof; a polarization member on a surface of the display panel facing the light guide plate; and a frame chassis comprising a fastening portion inserted in a space between the display panel and the light guide plate. The fastening portion has a thickness substantially equal to a thickness of the polarization member.

The supporting member includes first and second supporting part and a coupling part. The first and second supporting parts extend in first and second directions, respectively, along the edge portion of the display panel. The coupling part is coupled to the first and second supporting parts and is configured to connect the first supporting parts to the second supporting parts. The coupling part includes a reflection surface facing a direction different from the first and second directions in a plan view.

A backlight unit including a bottom cover having a bottom surface and a sidewall extending from the bottom surface, light sources, and a reflection sheet. Outermost ones of the light sources are configured to include a first light source and a second light source. The first light source and the second light source have different distances from the sidewall. The reflection sheet includes a first reflection sheet disposed between the sidewall and the first light source and a second reflection sheet disposed between the sidewall and the second light source. The first reflection sheet and the second reflection sheet have different inclined angles from each other.
