The disclosed visible-light barrier may include a light-scattering layer that preferentially scatters visible light over infrared light. The light-scattering layer may include (1) a substantially transparent or translucent material and (2) at least one of TiOor ZnO particles dispersed within the substantially transparent or translucent material at a concentration of from approximately 0.02 wt % to approximately 2 wt %. IR transmissive visible-light barriers and devices including the same

The presently disclosed technology includes a composite unibody keyboard that both serves as a bottom case and a top bezel in traditional keyboard design. The unibody keyboard is made of a high-rigidity composite material with varying thicknesses to achieve predetermined design specifications for the keyboard. Areas of the unibody keyboard frame are removed to accommodate various electronic or other components of the keyboard prior to final assembly.

A slidable battery door assembly is described. In implementations, the slidable battery door assembly (hereinafter 'door assembly') includes a door that is slidable to control access to a battery compartment for a device. Also included is a battery contact inside the battery compartment that is coupled to the door. When the door is closed, the battery contact holds a battery in place and serves as a portion of an electrical circuit that includes the battery. The door may be slidably opened such that the battery contact releases the battery, allowing the battery to be removed from the battery compartment. Thus, the door assembly enables easy installation and removal of a battery. Further, the door assembly can be positioned to hold a battery securely in place and provide an electrically conductive connection between the battery and an electrical circuit.

A baseball holder for a batting tee is disclosed. The baseball holder includes a body to couple the baseball holder to the batting tee, and a plurality of supporting members that extend out from the body to suspend a baseball. The plurality of supporting members cooperates to define an unimpeded zone to enable the baseball to be struck off the baseball holder in a direction having at least a partially downward trajectory.
