A system for providing media content to an occupant of a vehicle may include a user interface configured to provide the media content to the occupant and a controller coupled to the user interface and to a database configured to store media content. The controller may be configured to receive vehicle navigation data, select a subset of media content from the media content stored in the database based on the vehicle navigation data, and provide the subset of media content through the user interface.

Method and apparatus to detect and isolate audio in a vehicle using multiple microphones

A machine monitoring method preferably includes receiving packets, such as packets supplied to a physical machine, virtually simulating physical machine operation, and analyzing the virtual outputs of the virtual simulation. Virtually simulating physical machine operation is preferably performed based on the received packets, such as using a digital duplicate of the physical machine. An optoelectronic device having an intelligent transmitter module ('ITM') includes a mechanism for logging operational information regarding the ITM. The optoelectronic device includes a microcontroller and a persistent memory. The microcontroller is configured to identify the operational information, and write log information representing the operational information to the persistent memory. The operational information may include statistical data about operation, or may include measured parameters. Log entries may be made periodically and/or in response to events. The log may then be evaluated to determine the conditions under which the ITM has historically operated.

Systems and methods for an optical transceiver module to perform one or more diagnostic self-tests without the assistance of a host computing system. The optical transceiver module includes at least one processor, a persistent memory and a system memory. The persistent memory, which is coupled to the at least one processor, contains microcode. The microcode is loaded from the persistent memory to the system memory and executed by the at least one processor. The executed microcode causes the optical transceiver module to perform one or more diagnostic self-tests. The diagnostic result data of the one or more diagnostic self-tests is then stored in the persistent memory and is formatted for analysis. The formatted data may then be analyzed to ascertain the response of the optical transceiver to changes in its test environment.

Self-testing optical transceiver

Test transceivers are disclosed for testing optical networks. The test transceivers generate one or more errors on a network in a specific, reproducible way, thereby enabling a tester to easily and readily identify whether network devices are operating properly, or prone to failure. A corrective transceiver is also disclosed. The corrective transceiver is configured to continually detect operating parameters of one or more network devices in a network. The corrective transceiver can identify the operating parameters through out-of-band communication with the one or more network devices. The corrective transceiver is further configured with one or more instructions to adjust its own operating parameters to re-sync with another network device as necessary to continue network communications during a failure of the network device.
