An instrumented wiper dart configurable at the wellsite comprising any combination of a sealing member, a sensor sub, an electronics package, and a communication system; wherein the sealing member is cylindrical in shape, releasably coupled to the wiper assembly, and configured to sealingly engage the inner surface of a workstring. The sensor sub is release releasably coupled to the wiper assembly, and includes one or more sensors to measure a property of the wellbore environment. The electronics package is releasably coupled to the wiper assembly, configured to receive one or more data sets from the sensor sub, and transmit one or more data sets to the communication sub. The communication sub is configured to transmit the one or more data sets; and wherein the instrumented wiper plug is displaced down the workstring in response to a volume of fluid pumped from surface.

Traceability of cementing plug using smart dart

A flow assembly is deployed downhole in a casing for a cementing operation. The flow assembly has a spool with an optical cable. As cement is pumped downhole and through the flow assembly, a dart attached to the optical cable on the spool is dragged with the flow of cement. Cement flow is stopped based on signals along the optical cable that the dart is at a desired location downhole.

A downhole system can include multiple sub-components of a downhole debris separator assembly that is modular. The system can also include multiple couplers arranged on or among the sub-components of the multiple sub-components. Each of the couplers can connect with others of the couplers in different combinations to form respectively different configurations of the downhole debris separator assembly.

A system can include a cementing tool positionable within a casing string of a wellbore. A receiver that is positionable at the surface of the wellbore can receive an optical signal. A locator coupled to the cementing tool can generate an electrical signal in response to detecting a change in a surrounding magnetic field. A light source can generate an optical signal. A fiber optic cable can transmit the optical signal generated by the light source. A fiber reel can dispense the fiber optic cable from an end of the fiber optic cable.

Cement plug tracking with fiber optics

A method and apparatus for preventing fluid flow and contamination to a cement body includes a resin cap covering an exposed end of the cement body. The cement body may attach an inner sleeve to an outer sleeve. The fluid flowing through the outer sleeve is prevented from contacting the exposed surface by the resin cap. Resin caps at both ends of the cement body along with resin layers along the side may be included. The resin prevents contamination and creation of micro-annuli in the cement body.
