An air filter and carburetor arrangement includes a round filter and a round filter carrier having a filter plate. The round filter has a central filter axis, which lies at an angle to the filter plate. The carburetor has a carburetor body, in which an intake duct is configured with a duct longitudinal axis, and at one end of the intake duct on the carburetor body a filter connection side for the round filter carrier is configured, wherein the round filter carrier is fixed with at least one surface portion of the filter plate on the connection surface of the carburetor. The design is provided such that the duct longitudinal axis of the intake duct lies in the plane of the filter plate at a lateral distance (r) to the filter axis of the round filter fixed to the round filter carrier.

Air filter arrangement having a carburetor

A coupling device actuated by centrifugal force has a holder and at least one flyweight supported on the holder so as to be moveable in a radial direction relative to an axis of rotation about which the coupling device is rotatable. The flyweight is movable between an inner radial position and an outer radial position. At least one spring acting on the flyweight is provided that forces the flyweight into the inner radial position. At least one securing element secures at least one component of the coupling device in an axial direction of the axis of rotation. The securing element is monolithically formed on the flyweight.

Coupling device actuated by centrifugal force

A two-stroke engine has a fuel supply device, an intake passage formed partially in the fuel supply device, and an air filter with clean air chamber. The intake passage upstream of the fuel supply device is connected to the clean air chamber. A partition divides the intake passage downstream of the fuel supply device into a supply passage for fuel-free air and a mixture passage for fuel/air mixture. A throttle valve is supported in the intake passage and aligned in at least one operating state with the partition. A pressure differential between the mixture passage and the supply passage is determined, and in a method for operating such a two-stroke engine, fuel is supplied into the intake passage by a fuel supply valve in the operating state substantially only when the pressure in the mixture passage is not greater than the pressure in the supply passage.

Method for operating a two-stroke engine

An internal combustion engine has a carburetor and an intake channel for supplying fuel and combustion air, wherein a section of the intake channel is formed in the carburetor. At least one fuel opening is provided that opens into the intake channel within the carburetor. The intake channel has an intake opening that is connected to a clean chamber of the air filter of the internal combustion engine, wherein the internal combustion engine takes in air through at least one filter element of the air filter. A choke element is arranged in the clean chamber and moveable into a choke position and into an open position. In the open position, the choke element shields the at least one filter element.

Internal combustion engine with air filter shield preventing soiling

An internal combustion engine having an intake channel for supply of fuel and combustion air, and divided over a portion of its length into a mixture channel, and into a supply channel for supply of largely fuel-free air. A simple manufacture of the engine and a simple construction are achieved if a portion of the intake channel is guided in an elastic intake adapter, whereby the intake adapter has a partition that extends over at least a portion of the length of the intake adapter and divides the intake channel into a mixture channel and a supply channel.

Internal combustion engine

A two-cycle engine having a piston reciprocalbly mounted in a cylinder in which a combustion chamber is formed. In prescribed positions of the piston, the combustion chamber communicates with a crankcase via at least one transfer channel. A portion of an intake channel for supplying fuel/air mixture and combustion air is formed in a carburetor, in which is pivotably mounted a butterfly valve for controlling the flow cross-section of the intake channel. A fuel opening opens into the intake channel portion, and downstream of the carburetor the intake channel is divided into a mixture channel and an air channel. A mechanism is disposed on the butterfly valve to increase the speed of flow in the carburetor in the vicinity of the fuel opening.
