A hoisting mechanism of a crane comprising at least one rope drum for a hoist rope, at least one hoist motor for driving the rope drum, a gearing coupled between the rope drum and the hoist motor, and having an input gear on the hoist motor side and an output gear on the rope drum side, and a brake for braking the input gear. The gearing has a differential to which a first input gear and a second input gear are arranged, wherein the first input gear and the second input gear are coupled to each other and further coupled to the output gear, wherein a first hoist motor connected to the first input gear, and a second hoist motor connected to the second input gear are arranged, and wherein the first input gear and the second input gear have unequal total gear ratios relative to an output shaft. The invention also relates to a method for operating this hoisting mechanism.

Lifting apparatus of crane and method of operation thereof

A wheel block, preferably for an overhead traveling crane, wherein the wheel block comprises a housing and a wheel mounted in the housing and protruding out of the housing. In order to allow for proactive maintenance of the wheel with a simple checking process and simultaneously reliable loading and, in particular, overloading detection and identification, according to the invention, the wheel block has a contactless operating measuring device for determining the distance between the measuring device and the wheel, in order to detect and/or identify and/or predict any current and/or future wear on the wheel and/or a loading, in particular an unloaded state and/or an overloaded state, of the wheel block based on measurement signals or measurement data from the measuring device and an evaluation thereof.

The invention relates to a wheel system having a running wheel and a support body which at least partially surrounds the running wheel and in which the running wheel is mounted and from which the running wheel projects in order to come into contact with a rail. In order to allow predictive maintenance of the wheel system with a low inspection effort, it is proposed that a mechanical device for detecting and/or determining wear on the running wheel is mounted on the support body.
